  • Publication number: 20240364367
Abstract: An example method for selectively filtering Wi-Fi signals is presented. A first radio and a second radio of a wireless networking device (WND) are respectively operated on a first channel and a second channel. The first channel and the second channel are respectively within a first sub-band of a first frequency band and second sub-band of a second frequency band. A control unit of the WND may select one of a first filter or a second filter based on the first channel, and one of a third filter or a fourth filter based on the second channel. After the filters are selected, signals over the first channel are communicated through a selected one of the first filter or the second filter, and signals over the second channel are communicated through a selected one of the third filter or the fourth filter.

  • Publication number: 20240275411
Abstract: In implementations of the present disclosure, there is provided an access point (AP) radio arrangement for Wi-Fi. A method comprises selecting a filter for a first antenna from a first set of filters. The method further comprises determining a subset from a second set of filters based on the selected filter. The method further comprises selecting a filter for a second antenna from the subset. Implementations of the present disclosure can make full use of 6 GHz channels, and the combinations for dual 6 GHz usage scenarios can be more flexible.

  • Publication number: 20240214827
Abstract: In implementations of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for reducing interference between channels of a wireless wide area network (WWAN) and channels of a wireless local area network (WLAN). A method comprises determining a first working channel in a first frequency band of a WWAN, and selecting a first filter from a first set of filters corresponding to the first frequency band based on the first working channel. Then, a second filter from a second set of filters corresponding to a second frequency band in a WLAN and a second working channel in the second frequency band are selected. The determined first working channel and the selected second working channel are used to transmit data. Implementations of the present disclosure can help the terminal device to use channels of WWAN and WLAN simultaneously and reduce interference between channels of WWAN and WLAN.

  • Publication number: 20240146351
Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to a short detection and protection circuit for an access point. The circuit comprises a plurality of front end modules (FEMs), a power source configured to supply power to the plurality of FEMs, a plurality of first switches electrically connected between the plurality of FEMs and the power source, and a plurality of short detection units each electrically connected to a respective FEM of the plurality of FEMs and a respective first switch of the plurality of first switches. With these implementations, by providing the short detection units of the present disclosure, the common power source is electrically isolated in time from the failed or shorted FEM, and the common power source can continue to supply power to other FEMs of good performance. Thus, the access point (AP) can keep working, thereby improving the reliability of the AP.

  • Patent number: 11917801
Abstract: An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield may include a frame configured to be coupled to a printed circuit board (PCB). The frame may include a horizontal body and a plurality of vertical walls extending perpendicularly from the horizontal body. The plurality of vertical walls defines a portion of a perimeter of the EMI shield, the perimeter including a concave corner defined virtually by a first and second vertical wall of the plurality of vertical walls. The first vertical wall does not extend all the way to the second wall and an opening if formed between. The first vertical wall includes an attached portion connected to the horizontal frame and an extension portion connected to the attached portion by way of a first fold. The extension portion at least partially overlays, abuts, and extends beyond the attached portion toward the second wall thereby at least partially covering the opening.

  • Publication number: 20230006630
Abstract: Examples described herein provide selective filtering by a network device for continuous 5 GHz and 6 GHz operation. Examples may include receiving, by the network device, a first signal in a 5 GHz band, and generating, by the network device, a second signal in a 6 GHz band. Examples may include selecting, by the network device, a first filter or a second filter to be applied the first signal in the 5 GHz band, wherein the first filter allows a lower frequency band to pass than the second filter in the 5 GHz band, selecting, by the network device, a third filter or a fourth filter to be applied to the second signal in the 6 GHz band, wherein the third filter allows a lower frequency band to pass than the fourth filter in the 6 GHz band, and simultaneously applying, by the network device, the selected first or second filter to the first signal and the selected third or fourth filter to the second signal.
