  • Patent number: 6736798
Abstract: A cylindrical needle guard for attaching and protecting a medical winged needle assembly to which a tube is connected, comprising at least two or more projecting portions on the top sidewall from the front portion to the rear portion, a slit at the bottom of the rear portion along a longitudinal direction of the needle guard, and a groove to fix the tube on the top sidewall of the rear portion; or comprising a pair of stoppers on both sides of the body and locking portions at thick portions and at the bottom of the stoppers for locking the wings of the winged needle assembly. This winged needle assembly to which the tube is connected is safely and securely retracted and locked in the needle guard.

  • Patent number: 4738229
Abstract: An air intake system for internal combustion engine comprises a surge tank the inside of which is divided by a partition wall into two elongated parallel volumetric chambers. The surge tank has a portion extending beyond the branch tube that is located most remote from an air inlet in the tank. The partition wall of the surge tank extension is provided with an aperture for communicating the volumetric chambers with each other. The aperture is opened and closed by a butterfly valve operated by an actuator in response to engine operating conditions, to match the effective length of the intake system with an engine speed. In a preferred embodiment, the surge tank extension provided with the butterfly valve and the actuator forms a valve assembly which is separate from the remainder of the surge tank.

  • Patent number: 4620513
Abstract: An engine rotational position detector and distributor assembly has a crank-driven rotary member mounted on an end portion of a cam shaft extending outwardly from engine block. The end face of the rotary member is formed therein with an annular recess and has a reference position information projection on the radially inner peripheral wall of the recess and a plurality of angular position information projections on the radially outer peripheral wall of the recess. The rotary member is covered with a detector housing mounted on the engine block and having an outer end wall supporting sensors faced to the circular paths of circumferential movements of the projections on the rotary member. The detector housing end wall has central opening with a bearing mounted therein to receive the outer end portion of the cam shaft and position the detector housing relative to the cam shaft whereby the sensors are precisely positioned relative to the circular paths of the movements of the projections.
