  • Publication number: 20120217819
Abstract: An electric power transmission system includes: a transmitting-side system that includes switching elements that convert a direct-current voltage to an alternating-current voltage and that output the alternating-current voltage and a transmitting-side magnetic resonance antenna unit that has a first inductor and a first capacitor directly coupled to each other and to which the output alternating-current voltage is input; and a receiving-side system that includes a second inductor and a second capacitor directly coupled to each other and that resonates with the transmitting-side magnetic resonance antenna unit via electromagnetic field to thereby receive electric energy output from the transmitting-side magnetic resonance antenna unit.

  • Publication number: 20090262484
Abstract: A capacitor electrode material having high capacitance and capable of handling large current and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. In addition, a capacitor electrode and a capacitor having high capacitance and capable of handling large current, are also provided. After dipping a carbon nanotube into an electropolymerization monomer solution to adhere the electropolymerization monomer to the carbon nanotube (adsorption step), the carbon nanotube is electropolymerized in an electrolytic solution containing no electropolymerization monomer so as to produce an electroconductive polymer-adhered carbon nanotube.

  • Patent number: 7335290
Abstract: An active portion of a nano-size element is selectively destroyed by applying an electric potential to the nano-size element having a carbon network structure of carbon as an outer shell while immersed in an electrolytic solution. For example, an electric potential of 1.20 to 1.60 V (RHE) is applied to the carbon nanotubes in electrolytic solution so as to oxidize the active portion in each carbon nanotube and to thereby selectively remove the ends. Consequently, an open end is created in the carbon nanotube.

  • Publication number: 20030217933
Abstract: According to this invention, an active portion in nano-size substance is destroyed selectively by applying an electric potential to the nano-size substance having a network structure of carbon at an outer shell thereof in electrolytic solution. For example, an electric potential of 1.20 to 1.60 V (RHE) is applied to carbon nanotube in electrolytic solution so as to oxidize the active portion in the carbon nanotubes selectively and remove the ends of them. Consequently, an open end is created in the carbon nanotube.
