    Abstract: A catheter having a tubular body including a lumen communicating from a proximal end to a distal end and in which a braided reinforcement body is embedded, and an operation unit disposed on a proximal side of the tubular body. The reinforcement body includes a plurality of first wire filaments helically wound in a first direction of a circumferential direction, toward a distal end direction of the tubular body, and a plurality of second wire filaments intersecting with the first wire filaments and helically wound in a second direction, which is a direction opposite to the first direction. At least one of the first wire filaments is a thick wire filament having a cross section larger than a cross section of a largest second wire filament.
