Abstract: An electric wire manufacturing method includes a step of placing a core wire having a plurality of strands inside a tubular member capable of transmitting laser light, and a step of forming a joined portion where the strands are joined together by emitting laser light along a direction intersecting an axial direction of the tubular member onto an outer circumferential surface of the core wire placed inside the tubular member. The tubular member is, for example, transparent. The laser light transmitted through the tubular member may be emitted onto the outer circumferential surface of the core wire in the step of forming the joined portion.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a terminal-attached electric wire includes: installing an electric wire including a core wire including a plurality of element wires to a terminal having a conductor coupling part having a pair of barrel pieces, the core wire being installed between the pair of barrel pieces; bending the pair of barrel pieces to cause the pair of barrel pieces to wrap around and cover the core wire in a circumferential direction to form a slit extending in an axial direction between the pair of barrel pieces, with respect to the circumferential direction; melting the element wires of the core wire by emitting laser light toward the core wire through the slit; and adhering the element wires melted with the laser light to the conductor coupling part.
Abstract: An electric wire manufacturing method includes: a step of placing a core wire including a plurality of strands inside a tubular jig; and a step of forming a joined portion that integrates the strands by emitting laser light along an axial direction of the core wire toward a tip of the core wire placed inside the jig. In the placing step, the core wire is placed with a gap between an inner wall surface of the jig and an outer circumferential surface of the core wire while the tip of the core wire faces upward relative to a horizontal line. In the step of forming the joined portion, the joined portion is formed by filling the gap with a melted substance of the strands.
Abstract: An electric wire with terminal includes: an electric wire having a conductor part covered by an insulation sheath part; a crimp terminal including a conductor crimp part crimped to the conductor part, a sheath crimp part crimped to the insulation sheath part, and an intermediate part from which the conductor part is exposed, the intermediate part connecting the conductor crimp part and the sheath crimp part; and an anticorrosive material that covers the conductor part exposed from the crimp terminal. A terminal of the insulation sheath part on the conductor crimp part side is exposed toward the intermediate part side from the sheath crimp part. The crimp terminal includes a sheath cover wall part that covers an edge of the terminal of the insulation sheath part on a top view.
Abstract: A method of crimping a terminal with a cable which crimps and connects a crimping portion of a crimp terminal to an end of a cable by a crimp die, includes an anticorrosive supply step and a terminal crimping step. In the anticorrosive supply step, an anticorrosive agent is stored in or supplied to an anticorrosive supply portion formed in the crimp die. In the terminal crimping step, the crimping portion of the crimp terminal is crimped to the cable by the crimp die. During or after the terminal crimping step, the anticorrosive agent is applied to a predetermined area around the crimping portion of the crimp terminal by the anticorrosive supply portion of the crimp die.
