Patent number: 7789642Abstract: In a gear pump equipped with a pump assembly formed from a driving gear supported by a driving shaft, a driven gear supported by a driven shaft, a pair of side plates disposed at both sides in an axial direction of driving and driven shafts, and a seal block that seals tips of the gears and forms a first fluid chamber by installation onto the side plates, and a casing that houses the pump assembly and forms a second fluid chamber therein, ribs are provided for at least one member of the side plates or the seal block, and fluid tightness between the first and second fluid chambers is secured by exerting pressure between the side plates and seal block and additionally plastically deforming the ribs. By this, it is possible to provide the gear pump which is capable of achieving improvement of the seal integrity while reducing the parts count.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2005Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Katsuma Tsuruoka, Keigo Kajiyama, Norihiro Saita, Takayuki Furuya, Kenji Hiraku

Publication number: 20090079259Abstract: A brake control device includes: a braking-effort-sensing device for sensing braking efforts of vehicle wheels; an actuator for applying braking efforts to the vehicle wheels; and a control device for controlling the braking efforts of the vehicle wheels by controlling the actuator, wherein the control device: computes desired braking efforts of the vehicle wheels; and when the desired braking efforts of left and right wheels of the vehicle wheels are equal to each other. The brake control device performs a braking effort correction of allowing the braking effort of one of the left and right wheels to approach the braking effort of the other of the left and right wheels.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2006Publication date: March 26, 2009Inventors: Katsuya Iwasaki, Keigo Kajiyama

Publication number: 20080234909Abstract: A brake control apparatus of an automotive vehicle employs a pump incorporated in a hydraulic actuator, a separate pressure control valve disposed between the pump and each individual wheel-brake cylinder and having an orifice having a predetermined orifice-constriction flow passage area, and vehicle sensors including at least wheel cylinder pressure sensors. Also provided is a controller configured to be connected to the vehicle sensors and the hydraulic actuator, for calculating, based on a driver's manipulated variable, target wheel cylinder pressures, and for controlling the hydraulic actuator responsively to the target wheel cylinder pressures. The controller is further configured for calculating a fluid-pressure deviation between the target wheel cylinder pressure and the actual wheel cylinder pressure, and for stopping working-fluid supply from the pump to the abnormal wheel-brake cylinder having an abnormality in the fluid-pressure deviation exceeding a predetermined threshold value.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2008Publication date: September 25, 2008Inventors: Katsuya Iwasaki, Keigo Kajiyama, Toshiya Oosawa

Publication number: 20060087173Abstract: In a brake control system for a vehicle employing a brake-by-wire (BBW) hydraulic control unit, a master cylinder serves as a first fluid pressure source and a pump serves as a second fluid pressure source operated during a BBW system normal brake operating mode. Also provided is a manual-brake hydraulic circuit capable of supplying hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder to the wheel-brake cylinder during a fail-safe operating mode. A back-flow prevention device is disposed in a pump outlet passage, intercommunicating the manual-brake hydraulic circuit and the pump outlet, for permitting free flow in one direction from the pump to the wheel cylinder. A normally-open inflow valve is disposed in the pump outlet passage downstream of the back-flow prevention device. A normally-open shutoff valve is disposed in the manual-brake hydraulic circuit upstream of the normally-open inflow valve, and unactuated and opened during the fail-safe operating mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2005Publication date: April 27, 2006Inventors: Keigo Kajiyama, Chiharu Nakazawa
