  • Patent number: 8014582
Abstract: A medical image is reproduced after being subjected to image processing appropriate for conversion into an image suitable for interpreting. Selection of a imaging menu item from a imaging menu being displayed is accepted, and the medical image is reproduced after being subjected to the image processing for converting the image into the image appropriate for the reproduction according to the selected imaging menu item. At this time, an index value representing an anatomical characteristic is calculated from the medical image, and the most appropriate imaging menu item to be selected from imaging menu items is judged based on the index value.

  • Patent number: 7995821
Abstract: In a system where an image processing device applies image processing to medical images obtained from an image storage device, the load of communication and image processing are reduced, thereby improving the processing efficiency of the entire system. A controlling unit determines whether it is possible to determine a image processing result for a cross-sectional image taken at a point along a composition axis in an original image based on a image processing result of cross-sectional images sent so far from the image storage device. If it is impossible to determine the result, the next cross-sectional image to be processed is determined, and the cross-sectional image is sent from the image storage device to the image processing device. If it is possible to determine the result, the result of the image processing is determined without sending a new cross-sectional image from the image storage device to the image processing device.

  • Publication number: 20110131528
Abstract: An image obtaining unit obtains a three-dimensional image, which is formed by a plurality of tomographic images obtained by carrying out tomographic imaging of a subject, and a part information obtaining unit obtains information of a result of part recognition of the subject contained in the three-dimensional image. A menu specifying unit specifies, from a plurality of menus used to display the three-dimensional image, a menu depending on a part based on the information of the result of part recognition, and a display control unit displays the specified menu on a display unit.

  • Publication number: 20110075901
Abstract: A target-viewpoint position in a first-medical-image having multiple viewpoints is determined. Information about an anatomical structure and/or a lesion in the first-medical-image is obtained, as first information. Further, information about an anatomical structure and/or a lesion in a finding with respect to at least one second-medical-image of the same examined person as the first-medical-image, the information being related to the first information, is obtained, as second information, from image-reading-report information including the finding. Each of the at least one second-medical-image has multiple viewpoints, and was obtained at different time from the first-medical-image. The image-reading-report information is correlated with an image of a viewpoint position at which the finding was prepared.

  • Patent number: 7881508
Abstract: Notice is given when a medical image does not include an appropriate region imaged therein. At least one anatomical structure is extracted from a medical image obtained by an imaging apparatus. Whether a diagnostic region imaged within the medical image is appropriate for conducting diagnosis is judged, employing the at least one extracted anatomical structure as a reference. Further, display is performed on a console, based on the obtained judgment results.

  • Publication number: 20090232378
Abstract: Positional relationships are automatically determined with higher accuracy in a predetermined direction between three-dimensional images representing a subject including a periodic structure having periodicity in the predetermined direction, with respect to the periodic structure. A positional correspondence is provisionally determined in a predetermined direction between two three-dimensional images including a periodic structure having periodicity in the predetermined direction, based on a criterion wherein the periodic structure contributes less to the determination. The provisionally determined correspondence is then corrected so that a position in one of the three-dimensional images corresponding to a position of the other three-dimensional image in the predetermined direction can be corrected within a range near the position in the former three-dimensional image in the predetermined direction, according to a criterion wherein the periodic structure contributes more.

  • Publication number: 20090220135
Abstract: When an image group to be displayed and compared is transferred to a terminal during viewing and processing of an image in an image group on the terminal that enables viewing of a plurality of image groups, an image corresponding to the currently displayed image is promptly transferred and displayed. In response to determination of the image group to be displayed and compared with the image group currently displayed on the terminal, a server determines the image that belongs to the image group to be displayed and compared and corresponds to the image in the image group being displayed, and determines a range and order of transfer of images that are to be transferred and include the corresponding image in the determined image group. The server transfers the determined image group according to the range and order of transfer.

  • Publication number: 20080267481
Abstract: To correct a region recognition result in each tomographic image easily. Causing a plurality of tomographic images representing a plurality of regions of a subject or a reconstructed image based on the images and results of recognition processing of the regions of the subject represented by the respective tomographic images, in which the positional relationship of the recognized regions between the tomographic images matches with the anatomical positional relationship of the regions, to be displayed on a screen, accepting input of correction information identifying a correction position which is a boundary of different regions, determining an image whose result of the recognition processing is incorrect and a correct region of the image based on the anatomical positional relationship and/or results of the recognition processing of images adjacent to the correction position, and the correction information, and correcting the result of the recognition processing of the image.

  • Publication number: 20060079261
Abstract: Provided is a push-to-talk (PTT) communication system including: a server for controlling PTT communications; and a mobile communication terminal that requests the server for a voice transmission right for transmitting voice information to a predetermined communication counterpart based on the PTT communications. The mobile communication terminal requests the server for the voice transmission right when detecting that a voice is being inputted thereto. The mobile communication terminal includes: a voice input section; and a control section for transmitting a request for a voice transmission right to a PTT server when detecting that a voice is being inputted to the mobile communication terminal. According to the PTT communication system, it is possible to readily transmit a voice based on the PTT communications and respond to a voice without pressing a PTT button.

  • Publication number: 20050265606
Abstract: The positions of comparative tissue are more accurately set, in an abnormal pattern detecting apparatus that compares abnormal pattern candidates against healthy tissue having similar tissue structures to judge whether the candidates are abnormal patterns, to improve judgment accuracy. A comparative region image setting means searches for images that are similar to images within candidate regions, which are extracted by a candidate region extracting means. The search is conducted employing correlative values that represent the degrees of similarity among the images and the images within candidate regions. Similar images, which are located employing the correlative values, are set as comparative region images.

  • Publication number: 20050238218
Abstract: In an image display apparatus, a method for performing an effective comparative image observation is provided for local areas that correspond with each other among a plurality of medical images. When a region of interest is specified on a baseline image displayed on the screen of a display, a corresponding region that corresponds to the region of interest is extracted from each of the comparison images obtained from an image database. Then, reference images, which are images of the corresponding regions and/or an image corresponding to the region of interest generated based on at least one of the images of the corresponding regions, are displayed at a place adjacent to the region of interest of the baseline image on the screen by arranging them side by side or switching them.

  • Publication number: 20040172359
Abstract: The settlement processing with optional electronic money is to be enabled under the circumstances where the sorts of the electronic money accepted by different settlement terminals are different. In case the electronic money “dollar” that can be used for settlement in a settlement terminal differs from the electronic money “yen” stored in an electronic money storage area of a mobile terminal (mobile phone) and hence settlement is not possible, the user of the mobile terminal accesses an electronic money exchange server, adapted for performing the processing of exchanging various sorts of the electronic money, over the network, to request the server to exchange the electronic money “yen” in the electronic money storage area for the electronic money “dollar”.
