  • Patent number: 8927094
Abstract: A printed article includes a base material, a first printed layer, a second printed layer, and a third printed layer. The first printed layer is printed with a first ink in a first area of the base material. The second printed layer is printed with a second ink in a second area different from the first area of the base material. The second ink is different in a property or function from the first ink and having a color difference with respect to the first ink. The third printed layer is printed with a third ink, and covers or fills a boundary between the first printed layer and the second printed layer, and has a color difference with respect to the first printed layer and the second printed layer.

  • Publication number: 20130027488
Abstract: With the printing method according to the above described aspect of the present invention, when first ink and second ink made of resin are placed on a printing medium, a first dot for which a first ink droplet land on the printing medium and a plurality of second dots for which a plurality of second ink droplets land on the printing medium are in contact, but adjacent ones of the second dots are separated from each other. With this printing method, the first ink is high in stretchability, and the glass transition point when the second ink is cured is higher than the glass transition point when the first ink is cured.

  • Publication number: 20120308791
Abstract: There are provided an ink set, printed matter, and a molded article, with which a first ink and a second ink are applied over a substrate in the form of a sheet, for example, and which lends itself well to processing of this coated surface. An ink set 10 includes first inks 1Y, 1C, 1M, and 1K containing a pigment as a colorant, and a second ink containing no pigment. Films of the first inks 1Y, 1C, 1M, and 1K each stretch at least 70% when cured into the film with a thickness of 5 ?m and the film is stretched under a 150° C. environment. A film of the second ink has an elastic modulus of no more than 200 MPa when the second ink is cured into the film with a thickness of 50 to 200 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20120263926
Abstract: A printed material includes a first printed layer and a second printed layer. The first printed layer is produced by printing using a first curing ink which is provided in a first processing region for deformation process and contains at least a monofunctional polymerizable compound. The second printed layer is produced by printing using a second curing ink which is provided in a second processing region for shear processing and contains at least a multifunctional polymerizable compound. In the first curing ink, y1/x1 is 0.5 or less, where x1 and y1 are respective masses of the monofunctional polymerizable compound and the multifunctional polymerizable compound in the first curing ink. In the second crying ink, y2/x2 is 1 or greater, where x2 and y2 are respective masses of the monofunctional polymerizable compound and the multifunctional polymerizable compound in the second curing ink.

  • Publication number: 20120237735
Abstract: A molded article is obtained by carrying out a deforming process on a printed article including a base material, a light-blocking layer having light-blocking ability disposed on one side of the base material from which the molded article is intended to be viewed or on the other side of the base material opposite from the one side, and a light-blocking remediation layer having light-blocking ability disposed on the other side of the base material. The molded article includes a deformed section in which the base material has been stretched by carrying out the deforming process on the printed article. The light-blocking remediation layer is provided in a region of overlap of the deformed section and the light-blocking layer, when seen from the one side of the base material from which the molded article is intended to be viewed.

  • Publication number: 20120142509
Abstract: The printed matter manufacturing method includes the steps of providing a printed layer in a predetermined pattern on a substrate, and providing an open part penetrating through the substrate and the printed layer in an open part formation region. The printed matter manufacturing method has a step of providing a buffer layer for mitigating a shock imparted to the printed layer when the open part is provided, so that the buffer layer contacts the printed layer in at least a portion of a periphery of the open part formation region.

  • Patent number: 8016408
Abstract: A printing device includes a liquid spraying head unit and a light radiation head unit. The liquid spraying head unit is configured and arranged to spray a photo-curable liquid to a printing medium. The light radiation head unit is configured and arranged to radiate curing light rays to the photo-curable liquid on the printing medium to cause the photo-curable liquid to be cured. The light radiation head unit includes a light emitting body and a reflector. The light emitting body is arranged on a light source arrangement surface extending non-parallel to the printing medium. The reflector is configured and arranged to reflect the curing light ray emitted from the light emitting body toward the photo-curable liquid sprayed on the printing medium. The reflector is arranged on a reflector arrangement surface facing the light source arrangement surface and extending non-parallel to the printing medium.
