  • Patent number: 7909578
Abstract: A turbocharger as a turbo machine includes: a compressor impeller (13) having a projected portion (19) at a center of a rear surface; a drive shaft (15) connected to a bottomed coupling hole (20) provided in the projected portion (19) of the compressor impeller (13) through interference fit only; and a sleeve (30) with a cylindrical portion (33) connected to the outer peripheral portion of the projected portion (19) of the compressor impeller (13) by fitting only. The sleeve (30) is formed of a material whose coefficient of linear expansion is smaller than that of the compressor impeller (13). Accordingly, even when the coupling hole (20) in the projected portion (19) undergoes thermal expansion and the diameter of the coupling hole (20) increases, a connection between the drive shaft (15) and the coupling hole (20) can be prevented from being loosened since the radial increase thereof is suppressed by the cylindrical portion (33). Thus, the state of the connection thereof can be well maintained.

  • Patent number: 6468349
Abstract: A painting mask, which has an edge portion for defining a painting area parting line, is formed in a mask body which has a predetermined dimension enough to cover a work made from plastic, the mask body including a mask body base portion which is composed of a metal plate with a dimension substantially matching a work, and a painting area circumferential edge portion which is molded integrally with the mask body base portion by curing a thermosetting plastic (epoxy resin) prepared like clay and in which an edge portion for defining a parting line for a painting-presumptive area is formed. The mask body base portion does not shrink during the process where the mask body is manufactured, so that a painting mask with a proper dimension can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 6387183
Abstract: A paint mask apparatus in which portions that were difficult to paint conventionally can easily be painted by constructing the apparatus main body so as to be tiltable. A paint mask apparatus main body having a receiving jig for mounting a work on a base and a mask main body which covers the work mounted on the receiving jig is constructed so as to be tiltable around a horizontal axis. Spray painting is then carried out with the paint mask apparatus main body into which the work has been set tilted around the horizontal axis such that the areas to be painted of the work are pointed in a predetermined direction that makes it easy to apply paint. The paint mask apparatus enables paint to easily be applied to portions that were difficult to paint in the past, as well as a plurality of different places.

  • Patent number: 6355103
Abstract: A coating mask device for a lighting device in which a mask body is divided into a plurality of sections so that the mask body can be easily handled. The coating mask device for a lighting device includes a support jig 10, on which a component part 14 of the lighting device can be placed, and a mask body 20 having an opening 22 corresponding to a coat-forming region 15 of the lighting device component part 14. The mask body 20 is divided into a partial mask 21, having the opening 22, and a main mask 23 for covering that region of the component part other than that region covered by the partial mask 21. The partial mask 21 is removable from the main mask 23. The whole of the mask body 20 does not need to be exchanged, and it is only necessary to exchange the partial mask 21 which is compact and lightweight.

  • Patent number: 6299687
Abstract: A paint mask apparatus capable of accommodating different types of parts to be painted by constructing a mask body and a receiving jig so as to both be detachable with respect to the apparatus main body. A paint mask apparatus has a receiving jig for mounting a part to be painted supported by a jig base provided on an outer base, and a mask supporting frame with an integrated mask body of a predetermined shape which covers at least the peripheral edge portion of an area to be painted of a part to be painted attached to the outer base so as to be able to swing up and down such that the mask body can both cover and uncover the receiving jig from above. By constructing the mask body so as to be detachable from the mask supporting frame and constructing the receiving jig so as to be detachable from the jig base and only replacing the mask body and the receiving jig, the paint mask apparatus can be used for painting a different type of part to be painted without replacing the base and the jig base.
