  • Patent number: 6476874
Abstract: It is intended to enable main image data from a video camera and background image data recorded on a recording medium to be chromakey-combined with each other naturally at a low cost. When a video switcher chromakey-combines main image data that is produced by imaging with a video camera with background image data that is reproduced from a magnetic tape by a VTR, the main image data is chromakey-combined with the background image data such that the VTR is caused to perform a reproducing operation on the magnetic tape based on time codes that are stored in a control device as one of a pair of information and the operations of the video camera and a video camera stage are controlled based on camera control information as the other of the pair of information.

  • Patent number: 6457980
Abstract: A connector housing (1) of a connector (1) is constituted by a lower housing (7), which is mounted on a printed circuit board (2), and an upper housing (8) connected to the lower housing (7) in such a manner as to be able to perform shifting movement with respect the housing (7). Further, terminals (6) are provided in such a way as to penetrate through a partitioning wall portion (8a) of the upper housing (8) and through a connecting block portion (7b) of the lower housing (7). At that time, tapered holes (7d) are provided in the connecting block portion (7b). The terminals (6) are maintained in a state in which a bending deformation thereof caused by the shifting movement of the upper housing (8) is allowed. Consequently, when the connector (1) is connected to the mating connector (3), the connectors (1, 3) can be connected to each other by performing the shifting movement of the upper housing (8) thereby to concurrently absorb the positional displacement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6447346
Abstract: A plurality of steps respectively constituted by inner housings (19) are incorporated into an outer housing (18) of a female connector (12). Moreover, a pushing operation force transmitting member (20) is incorporated there into. The engaging relation of this pushing operation force transmitting member (20) to each of the inner housings is changed every time this member is externally operated. Thus, a pushing operation force applied to the outer housing (18) is transmitted to the inner housings (19) sequentially. Consequently, the outer housing (18) and the pushing operation force transmitting member (20) are alternately pushed. Thus, the plurality of steps respectively constituted by the inner housings (19) are sequentially connected to a male connector (12).

  • Publication number: 20010019909
Abstract: A projection (9) is provided in a male connector (1). A lever (16) is rotatably provided in a female connector (2). The lever (16) has a curved groove (18) . When the lever (16) is turned, the projection (9) is inserted into the groove (18). As the projection (9) is inserted into this groove (18), the connection between the male connector (1) and the female connector (2) is strengthened. At that time, the lever (16) provides leverage. Moreover, the distance between the fulcrum for this lever and a point of action gradually decreases. Furthermore, in this case, the groove (18) is formed in such a way as to extend to the turning center portion of the lever (16), so that the distance between the fulcrum for the lever and the point of action is reduced still more. Consequently, a larger connecting force can be provided thereto.

  • Patent number: 6067588
Abstract: An input/output controller apparatus has a CPU arranged for directing an FPGA to generate a desired trace logic circuit and a channel controller to start communication with a host system. The channel controller while performing the communication with the host system delivers a channel sequence number via a buffer to the FPGA. In response, the FPGA saves the channel interface signal and the channel sequence number at given timing. When an error occurs during the communication, the CPU identifies the cause of the error by reviewing the channel interface signal and the channel sequence number saved in the FPGA. If the cause of the error fails to be identified, the FPGA is directed to generate another trace logic circuit suited for identifying the cause of the error.

  • Patent number: 5959694
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a video signal by adjusting the contour of a picture. The apparatus includes an arrangement from a delay circuit 2 to a subtraction circuit 5 for extracting a contour of the picture and generating at least a signal opposite in polarity to a contour enhancement signal enhancing the extracted contour. The signal polarity is continuously varied from a maximum value of a positive polarity to a maximum value of an opposite polarity by a variable resistor RV2, an output of which is added to the input video signal by an addition circuit 6. With the processing apparatus, a picture can not only be raised in resolution as felt by the viewer, that is can be enhanced in contour, but also can be lowered in resolution as felt by the user, that is can be softened in contour. A corresponding method for processing a video signal by adjusting the contour of a picture and a video camera having the apparatus for processing the video signal in this manner are also disclosed.
