  • Patent number: 8131013
Abstract: A method and a system for simply and automatically detecting the positions of eyes, mouth, and nose in a face image with high reliability are provided. A plurality of grayscale images with gradually varying lightness are formed from a face image. Then, a process (fade-in process) is performed which detects pixel block areas that gradually appear in a face area in the grayscale images as the face area that is in a fade-out state at high lightness fades in and is brought into a fade-in state at low lightness. The detected pixel block areas include paired pixel block areas appearing as a pair. The positions of the eyes are determined based on the number of appearance of the paired pixel block areas over all the grayscale images. The positions of the mouth and nose are determined based on the positional relationship between the eyes and pixel block areas which are detected by the fade-in method and in which gradually appearing pixels no longer grow.

  • Patent number: 8055011
Abstract: A hairstyle simulation image is formed by combining a face image and a hair image such that a hair image of any hairstyle can be simply combined with the face image without impairing the naturalness of the fitted face and hair images, irrespective of whether or not a part of the face is covered with the hair. The hairstyle simulation image formed by combining the face and hair images is formed as follows. First, two eyes in the face image are detected, and a semi-oval shaped curve L0 is formed based on a facial width D0 and a line passing through the eyes (an eye line L1). The facial width D0 is obtained by multiplying the distance between the eyes by a predetermined multiplier, and the semi-oval shaped curve L0 serves as a temporary facial outline.

  • Publication number: 20100000053
Abstract: An object is to provide a potable blower grip which can sufficiently reduce vibration and can lessen the worker's fatigue fully. A soft material grip 2, attached to a handle 1 of a portable blower 100 and held by a worker P has a corrugation 2X and the corrugation 2X is arranged so as to face in the vertical direction V, when the portable blower 100 is tilted forward to take a working posture, and thus the weight of the portable blower 100 is applied to one hand at the time of working via the corrugation 2X which faces in the vertical direction V. Accordingly, the crushing of the corrugation 2X is prevented and also the contact area between the grip 2 and the hand is minimized by the corrugation 2X to sufficiently reduce the vibration transferred to the hand.

  • Patent number: 7382894
Abstract: A method for automatic identification of a hair region is provided wherein edges are identified from an original image including a face and hair, the direction and length of the lines which form each individual edge are stored, line bundles in which lines of the same direction are gathered are searched, the color of the line bundles is established to be the hair color, line tracing is performed to identify lines which connect to line bundles and also have afore-mentioned hair color, and the pixels on the identified lines are established to be the hair region. A hair color simulation image is formed by changing the hair region, automatically identified in this manner, to a specified hair color.
