  • Publication number: 20060025831
Abstract: An electric potential therapy apparatus has been prepared with a plurality of alternating current patterns, made by combining varying voltages, waveforms and frequencies with the passage of time. The user selects one from the alternating patterns in accordance with the user's physical constitution and physical condition, so that an a.c. generating circuit (9) generates a high voltage alternating current which changes its voltage, waveform and frequency in accordance with the alternating current pattern, to be applied to an electrode (1). A massage unit (11) having kneading rollers moving up and down is arranged in a backrest (10) of the electric potential therapy apparatus while a roller massager is provided for a footrest (14). Further, an ion generating unit (16) is provided over the backrest (10).

  • Patent number: 5922233
Abstract: In the case where a heater main body (1) is bent so as to be wound around a subject to be heated such as a water pipe, etc., a heater can stably heats the subject to be heated. A plurality of heating elements (2), which are composed of ceramics as positive-characteristic thermistors and have electrodes on both sides of the heating elements, are sealed along a lengthwise direction of the heater main body (1) with flexibility and electrical insulation at intervals. Pairs of feeders (3) for feeding electricity to the heating elements (2) are provided to the heater main body (1). A holder (5) having electrical conductivity is provided into the heater main body (1) so as to connect the heating elements (2) to the feeders (3) and retain them. The holder (5) reduces faulty electrical connection between the feeders (3) and the heating elements (2), and thus the heat generation by the heating elements (2) can be stabilized.

  • Patent number: 5414241
Abstract: A heater includes a heating element made of a PTC thermistor, electrodes formed on upper and lower surfaces of the heating element, flat metallic terminals connected to the electrodes, lead wires connected to inner surfaces of the metallic terminals that face each other, and an insulating case for covering exposed portions of the heating element, electrodes, and of the metallic terminals, and the connections between the lead wires and the metallic terminals. With this structure, since no bumps are produced on the outer surfaces of the metallic terminals by connecting the lead wires to the metallic terminals, the thickness of the insulating case over the metallic terminals is reduced. This allows a reduction in the thickness of the heater and an improved heat transfer between the heating element and the heated object.

  • Patent number: 5018030
Abstract: A cassette loading mechanism of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus is capable of selectively loading a large-sized cassette and a small-sized cassette. A large-sized cassette insertion opening having a form corresponding to the large-sized cassette (3) is provided in a cassette control unit (K1). The inserted large-sized cassette (3) is supported by a slider (6). This slider (6) is movable between an insertion position (6S) and an operation position (6P). The small-sized cassette (1) is received in a housing (19) outside the cassette control unit (K1) through the large-sized cassette insertion opening and it is set and supported in an adapter chassis (14). The adapter chassis (14) is movable through a slide plate (30) between a retreat position (14S) enabling insertion of the large-sized cassette (3) and a setting position (14G), and between the setting position (14G) and an operation position (14D). The adapter chassis (14) can be attached to the slider (6) in the operation position ( 6P).

  • Patent number: 4992894
Abstract: A cassette loading mechanism for a magnetic recording/reproducing device is disclosed, in which two different cassettes can be loaded selectively. Two inserting openings, profiled to conform to a large size cassette and a small size cassette, are provided in a cassette control unit. The large size cassette, when introduced, is held by a slider. This slider is movable between a position of insertion and a position of recording and/or reproduction. The small size cassette inserted into the unit is held by an adapter chassis. This adapter chassis is movable by the medium of the loading chassis, between a position of insertion and a position of recording/reproduction. The adapter chassis may be attached to the slider. A lid is mounted to the unit for rotation for opening or closing the inserting opening for the large size cassette. Locking levers for engaging with the lid are provided at both end edge portions of the lid.

  • Patent number: 4774644
Abstract: In a flashlight, the bulb is attached to a bulb-holding frame within the body of the flashlight instead of to the reflector. The bulb-holding frame has a mounting member with an inner diameter larger than the base of the bulb but smaller than a flange formed on the bulb. A locking hook extends from the mounting member and cooperates with a notch formed in flange so as to connect the bulb to the bulb-holding frame.
