  • Patent number: 6075468
Abstract: An angle information input apparatus has a main unit and a rotator. The main unit forms a peripheral portion of the input apparatus and has a first position-designating portion. The rotator is rotatable within the main unit and has a second position-designating portion. The input apparatus thus inputs any given angle information according to two positions which are respectively designated by the first and second position-designating portions placed on a tablet. Both first and second position-designating portions are displaced from the center position of the rotator. The distance between the first position-designating portion and the center position of the rotator is different from the distance between the second position-designating portion and the center position of the rotator. Accordingly, angle information is input only when the rotator is rotated, but it is not input when the input apparatus itself is merely moved.

  • Patent number: 6075521
Abstract: A coordinate input device includes a casing having an upper surface and a lower surface which are not parallel to each other. A columnar position designating member is disposed within the casing. The angle of the position designating member as viewed from the upper surface is different from that as viewed from the lower surface. One of the upper surface and the lower surface is placed on a tablet. The coordinate input device thus designates and inputs coordinates while determining which surface of the casing is placed on the tablet. At least one of the designating positions of the position designating member is located in the vicinity of an edge of one of the upper surface and the lower surface, and an indicator is provided at a portion corresponding to the designating position. Thus, information on the tablet designated by the position designating member can be input regardless of which surface of the casing is placed on the tablet, thereby enhancing ease of operation of the coordinate input device.

  • Patent number: 5743124
Abstract: A method of bending extruded shapes of the present invention controls a bending radius and a bending angle in accordance with a moving distance of a movable bending die. In the bending process, hardness of an extruded shape to be processed is measured and converted into proof stress, and the bending condition for compensating the springback is determined. A correction coefficient C showing a ratio of a practical value of the moving distance and a theoretical value of the moving distance in a case of no spring-back occurring is defined by a function of Young's modulus E, geometrical coefficient Z, bending radius R and proof stress .sigma..sub.0.2 for the extruded shape to be processed.

  • Patent number: 5716155
Abstract: The present invention relates to a T-shaped connection frame for connecting car frames, in which a first member is connected to a second member via a joint member to form a "T." The joint member is formed by symmetrically dividing a rectangular tube between its two latch teeth located at the upper-center and lower-center inner walls. The rectangular tube also has protrusions at the left and right exterior walls. The joint member divided in this way has the latch teeth at the upper and lower tips of the mouth formed by the division and has the protrusion situated opposite the mouth so that the first member can be snapped on easily to this mouth and the second member can be attached to the protrusion at the opposite side. This structural arrangement makes the positioning of the frames very simple, obviates a make-shift attachment, and, at the same time, reduces the number of operation steps.

  • Patent number: 5704415
Abstract: The winding small tube apparatus comprises an extruded flat tubed strip having a plurality of openings leading to parallel lumens and a header for attaching to an end of this extruded flat tubed strip to cover the openings. Every other portion of the partition at the openings of the lumens disposed in the extruded flat tubed strip is cut away to connect the lumens to form a continuous winding, serpentine sealed channel. By this invention, the manufacturing process is facilitated, the overall height of the apparatus is lowered, and the heat exchange property is raised.
