  • Publication number: 20160184488
Abstract: Provided is an ultrafine polyester fiber which is useful as a constituent material for a cloth for a stent graft or other medical device that is to be implanted in the body and which can simultaneously solve both a clinical need (diameter reduction) and a clinical challenge (integration of a stent with a stent graft). An ultrafine polyester fiber which has a polyethylene terephthalate content of 98 wt % or more, characterized by: having (1) a reduced viscosity (?sp/c) of 0.80 dl/g or higher and (2) a total fineness of 7 to 120 dtex and a single-fiber fineness of 0.5 dtex or less; and exhibiting (3) a maximum thermal shrinkage stress of 0.05 cN/dtex or more in a temperature range of 80 to 200° C. or (4) a degree of crystallinity of 35% or more in a region spreading from the surface of the fiber to a depth of 0.1 ?m.

  • Patent number: 4576007
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling an operation of a turbine plant on a reduction of the load on a turbine operates to compute a saturation pressure corresponding to the temperature in the downcomer pipe by using the detected values representing the conditions of the plant, and to control the reduction of the turbine to maintain the pressure in the downcomer pipe higher than the computed saturation pressure so as to prevent an occurrence of flashing.

  • Patent number: 4410950
Abstract: Apparatus and method of monitoring the performance of a steam power plant, wherein the monitoring is made through a calculation of the performance from detected data representing the states of operation of various parts of the plant, such as feedwater flow rate, steam pressure, steam temperature and the level of the load imposed on the plant. The method has a function for judging the fluctuation of the load and a function for judging the duration of steady state of the load. When the rate of fluctuation of the load is below a predetermined reference and this state of load lasts over a predetermined time length, it is judged that the data detected during this time length are valid as the data for monitoring of the performance and the performance is calculated from these data to permit the monitoring.
