  • Publication number: 20130174136
Abstract: An approach is provided in which a computer system receives a request to utilize a locale package for which to display information on a display. The computer system determines that the locale package is not installed on the computer system's operating system and, as such, sends a request to a locale service for a locale source file. The computer system receives the locale source file from the locale service and utilizes the received locale source file to generate the locale package. In turn, the computer system installs the generated locale package on the operating system.

  • Patent number: 8470555
Abstract: As a result of dedicated research, the present inventors have successfully invented a collagen gene construct which can be easily purified and maintains a triple helix structure equivalent to that of naturally-occurring collagen while having a low molecular weight. Specifically, one-step purification by affinity purification is enabled because CR-D (a signal peptide) has a carbohydrate recognition domain. By substituting a portion of a human collagen structural gene of the present invention with the collagen-like structural gene portion of MBL, a low-molecular-weight collagen which maintains a triple helix structure and is thermally stable can be obtained with high purity and in large quantities.

  • Publication number: 20130155030
Abstract: A display system displays objects in a display region in a manner arranged in a predetermined orientation. One light-emitting element of a sensor array emits light to the objects in the predetermined orientation. The display system prestores data which associates numerical value ranges different from each other with the objects, respectively. When light reflected by a finger is received by light-receiving elements of the sensor array, the display system calculates the number of the light-receiving elements that have received the reflected light, identifies one object associated with the numerical value range including the calculated number of the light-receiving elements, from among the objects, based on the calculated number of the light-receiving elements and the stored data, and performs processing corresponding to the identified object.

  • Patent number: 8363070
Abstract: Correction data tables or look up tables (LUTs) are stored in a table memory. When an overshoot calculation section switches an active LUT, the overshoot calculation section obtains the new active LUT not out of an external memory but out of the table memory. A table managing section deletes, from the internal memory, LUTs to which the new active LUT does not switch over directly, for example non-adjacent LUTs, meanwhile the table managing section obtains a new adjacent LUT from the external memory so as to store the new adjacent LUT in the table memory. With the arrangement, it becomes possible for a drive circuit to (i) operate at the same processing speed as a drive circuit in which all tables are stored in the internal memory, and simultaneously, (ii) reduce the amount of memory.

  • Publication number: 20120229408
Abstract: A display device includes detection sections each of which is arranged in an associated one of a plurality of pixels, and is configured to detect a pressed position; scan lines and detection lines formed on a first substrate; and a detection driver connected to the detection lines. When the first substrate or a second substrate is pressed, and the detection section in the pressed area is scanned with the scan line, the detection driver detects a voltage applied to the detection section via the detection line. An inspection line to which at least the scan lines or the detection lines are connected in parallel is further formed on the first substrate.

Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal panel equipped with a touch sensor function that can detect pressing force. Multiple displacement detection units (30) are provided between a pair of substrates (31, 32) arranged opposing each other and output a signal due to displacement of one of the substrates. A displacement point detection unit (3) binarily detects whether the one substrate has become displaced at each position of the displacement detection units (30) based on the signals output from the displacement detection units (30). A coordinate detection unit (4) detects the coordinates of, among the displacement detection units (30), the displacement detection units for which the displacement point detection unit (3) detected that the one substrate became displaced, and outputs pressing force position information.

  • Patent number: 8146062
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program instructions for automatically performing test builds of natural language translated files for a software product. When a translated file is received from a translator, a test build of the translated file is executed in a translation test build environment, wherein the translation test build environment is separate from the main software product build environment. A determination is made as to whether the test build of the translated file is successful. If the test build is successful, the translated file is submitted to the main software product build environment. If the test build is unsuccessful, a log file containing error information is sent to the translator to allow the translator to fix compile errors identified in the translated file and resubmit the translated file to the translation test build environment.
