  • Publication number: 20140306608
Abstract: An ion generating element (10) is provided with: a needle-shaped ion discharge unit (11) that generates ions in the air by means of discharge; a voltage generating unit (13) that generates voltage to be applied to the ion discharge unit (11); and a rectifier element (14) that is connected between the ion discharge unit (11) and the voltage generating unit (13), and applies either the positive or negative portion of the voltage generated by the voltage generating unit (13) to the ion discharge unit (11). The rectifier element (14) is longitudinal in shape, and is disposed at the opposite side of the tip side of the ion discharge unit (11) such that the longitudinal direction of the rectifier element (14) intersects with the axial direction of the needle-shaped ion discharge unit (11).

  • Patent number: 8297071
Abstract: A shut-off valve mounting structure is for holding shut-off valves in place in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, and includes bases, and a fixing portion. The shut-off valves are connected to an indoor unit of the air conditioner via refrigerant communication pipes. The bases extend upwards from a bottom frame of the outdoor unit (2). The fixing portion is continuous with the bases, and holds the shut-off valves in place such that a space exists below the shut-off valves.

  • Patent number: 7963121
Abstract: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided in which a wind whistling sound and a vibration noise due to airflow are reduced. The outdoor unit includes an outdoor heat exchanger, a fan, a motor for driving the fan, and a motor support table for supporting the motor. The fan moves air on the outdoor heat exchanger to promote heat exchange between refrigerant and air. The motor support table (63) is provided with a rectifying member, and the rectifying member deflects air flowing toward the motor support table in a predetermined direction.

  • Patent number: 7607317
Abstract: An air conditioner includes a refrigerant circuit that includes a heat source heat exchanger configured such that refrigerant flows in from below and flows out from above when the heat source heat exchanger functions as an evaporator of the refrigerant and a plurality of utilization heat exchangers. When the heat source heat exchanger is caused to function as an evaporator, the refrigerant discharged from a compression mechanism is bypassed to an intake side of the compression mechanism via a first bypass circuit, the heat source heat exchanger is caused to function as a condenser, and an expansion valve is closed, whereby refrigerating machine oil accumulating inside the heat source heat exchanger is returned to the intake side of the compression mechanism from a lower portion of the heat source heat exchanger via an oil returning circuit.

  • Patent number: 7577668
Abstract: A high reliability information transmission system which can continue transmission upon at the occurrence of multiple failures. The system includes two transmission lines and transmission terminals coupled to both of the transmission lines. Data can be transmitted between respective terminals using both transmission lines. The transmission terminals check the data reception status at the corresponding receiving terminals. When data is not being received, the data may be relayed to the receiving terminal using one of the other transmission lines.
