  • Patent number: 6710289
Abstract: A controller outputs a first event signal having a periodical waveform and a second event signal having a periodical waveform synchronizing with the first event signal. A first laser source radiates a first pulse laser beam having a wavelength in an ultraviolet range, synchronously with the first event signal. A second laser source radiates a second pulse laser beam having a wavelength in the ultraviolet range, synchronously with the second event signal. A converging optical system converges the first and second pulse laser beams at the same point. A holder holds a workpiece at a position where a pulse laser beam converged by the converging optical system is applied.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 18, 2003
Date of Patent: March 23, 2004
    Assignee: Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd.
    Inventor: Keiji Iso

  • Patent number: 6087625
Abstract: A pulsed laser beam from a laser oscillator 10 is split into two by a beam splitter 13. The split laser beams are radiated by X-Y scanners 14 and 16 through working lenses 17 and 18 onto a work 20. Additionally on the work, the laser beams are swung in X-axis and Y-axis directions. These X-Y scanners simultaneously process a plurality of process regions which are divided and set on the work.

  • Patent number: 6058132
Abstract: In an optical path of a laser beam, a reflection mirror (11) is located to divide the laser beam into two split laser beams. By the use of the split laser beams, workpieces (17a, 17b) are simultaneously processed.
