  • Publication number: 20120217249
Abstract: This invention provides a fuel tank of a simple structure without any special device but having space of a predetermined ratio after the fuel tank has been filled with liquefied fuel. The fuel tank is of a form in which a number of cylindrical or spherical containers are arranged in parallel and are coupled together in a manner that the cylindrical or spherical containers neighboring each other share partitioning walls, respectively. Each of the partitioning walls has a passage through which the neighboring cylindrical or spherical containers are communicated with each other, and the upper ends of the passages are formed leaving partly the inner partitioning walls so that the liquid will not enter into the upper parts of the cylindrical or spherical containers.

  • Publication number: 20090047657
Abstract: The subject of the present invention is to provide a detection method for latent viral infections by detecting a gene product related to latent infections without going through an invasive procedure involving pain and bleeding, caused by skin biopsy and blood collection. Further, the subject of the present invention is to provide a kit for examination using in the detection of latent viral infections described above. As crusts and scales in a lesion contain large amounts of virus-infected cells which are in a state of dry necrosis, the method collects crusts and/or scales for a test sample and detects a gene product related to latent infections which may be present in the test sample. The kit for examination comprises (1) antisense oligonucleotide for reverse transcription of a gene product related to latent viral infections, (2) a primer set for amplifying a gene product related to latent viral infections and (3) a primer set for amplifying a housekeeping gene.

  • Patent number: 7032893
Abstract: Vapor-liquid contacting equipment includes a contact column in which a test liquid flows from top to bottom and a vapor flows from bottom to top, a rotary shaft which is inserted vertically in the contact column, rotors which are provided at different heights on the shaft, and which convert the test liquid into a thin film by centrifugal force and then discharge the test liquid from the outer periphery thereof, and trays which receive the test liquid discharged from an upper rotor and guide the test liquid to the center of a lower rotor. The rotors have furrows, which the test liquid flows over when the filmy test liquid flows out from the center of the rotor towards the outer periphery.

  • Publication number: 20040026800
Abstract: The device of the invention comprises; a contact column 1A in which a test liquid flows from top to bottom and a vapor flows from bottom to top, a rotary shaft 9 which is inserted vertically in the contact column 1A, rotors 10 which are provided at different heights on the shaft, and which convert the test liquid into a thin film by centrifugal force and then discharge the test liquid from the outer periphery thereof, and trays 20 which receive the test liquid discharged from an upper rotor and guide the test liquid to the center of a lower rotor. The rotors 10 have furrows 13, which the test liquid flows over when the filmy test liquid flows out from the center of the rotor towards the outer periphery.

  • Patent number: 6673311
Abstract: A method for continuous heat sterilization of liquid includes a continuous pre-heating step of preheating the liquid, a final heating step of heating the preheated liquid to reach a predetermined sterilizing temperature, a holding step of holding the liquid which has reached the predetermined sterilizing temperature for a predetermined period of time, and a cooling step of cooling the held liquid. The final heating step comprises the following steps (a) and (b): (a) a step of continuously pressurizing the liquid by a high pressure pump; and (b) a step of releasing the liquid continuously to a normal pressure within a time period of less than 10 seconds after the pressurizing step to thereby make the liquid reach the predetermined sterilizing temperature. An apparatus for automatically carrying out the method is provided. According to the continuous heat sterilization method and apparatus, scorch during the final heating step is dispensed with and accordingly, a long period of continuous operation is feasible.

  • Patent number: 4571338
Abstract: Method for preparation of milk shake beverage contained in can, bottle, paper carton or the like with a sufficient head space so that when shaking the container desirable volume of foam is obtained. Guar gum, kappa carrageenan and xanthan gum, which are well known as stabilizer for such beverage, are added to liquid mixture in the respectively specified amount ratio so as to make it possible to sterilize at a temperature of 135.degree. to 150.degree. C. for 2 to 5 seconds for long shelf life without causing undesirable coagulation and decreasing volume of foam.
