  • Patent number: 4992038
Abstract: A molding machine is provided comprising a rotary type molding machine (1) having an injection molding portion (3) for molding a preform, an orientation blow molding portion (5) provided with a blow mold (13) which receives the preform directly or after being subjected to temperature control for molding the preform into a hollow container such as a bottle by means of an orientation blow device and, a molded product removing portion (6), and a label insertion device (20) provided adjacent the orientation blow molding portion (5). The label insertion device (20) comprises a label supply device (26) positioned to the side of the blow mold, a drive device for moving the label supply device (26) forward and backward with respect to the blow mold, and a label magazine (42) disposed between the label supply device (26) and the orientation blow molding portion (5).

  • Patent number: 4497856
Abstract: Multi-layered containers are disclosed including an inner layer of a thermoplastic fluorocarbon resin, an outer layer of polyolefin, and an intermediate layer therebetween of a mixture of either polyolefin grafted with an unsaturated glycidyl compound or an ethylene copolymer grafted with an unsaturated glycidyl compound. The containers possess unexpectedly improved properties, including moldability and interlaminar strength, and are excellent candidates for containing agricultural chemicals, fuel oil and industrial chemicals of various types.

  • Patent number: 4174783
Abstract: A hollow bottle and the production method therefor. The hollow bottle of the invention is of multi-layer structure and has excellent chemical resistance and large fused adhesion strength in the pinch-off portion of the bottom. The inner layer of the bottle is made of polyamide resin and the depth of the joint groove formed in the inside surface of the inner layer in the pinch-off portion is 20% in depth as compared with the length of the pich-off portion, which portion is in a cross-sectionally tapered-off projection formed on the bottom of the bottle. In the production method of the present invention, after the multi-layer parison is extruded from dies, the lowermost end of the parison is closed and an inert gas is then blown into the parison, or the bottom of the parison is closed with blowing the inert gas. After the bottom of the parison is closed, it is transferred into a blow mold and blow molding is carried out, thereby forming a hollow bottle of the present invention.
