  • Publication number: 20230156469
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus includes a storage, a communicator configured to perform wireless communication with a cellular network, and a controller configured to establish a first wireless connection with the cellular network when available Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) information is not stored in the storage, the first wireless connection being an unencrypted connection. The communicator is configured to transmit predetermined information to the cellular network through the first wireless connection, the predetermined information being used to establish a second wireless connection with the cellular network, and the second wireless connection being an encrypted connection. The controller is configured to, after the first wireless connection is released, establish the second wireless connection with the cellular network by using the predetermined information. The communicator is configured to receive the available SIM information through the second wireless connection.

  • Patent number: 9031041
Abstract: A source base station eNB#1 forwards a header-compressed packet addressed to a radio terminal UE, to a target base station eNB#2, at a time of a handover procedure of the radio terminal from the source base station eNB#1 to the target base station eNB#2. Upon receipt of the forwarded header-compressed packet and a header-non-compressed packet addressed to the radio terminal UE from a core network EPC at the time of the handover procedure, the target base station eNB#2 generates an ROHC context corresponding to a header compression level of the header-compressed packet, by using the header-compressed packet and the header-non-compressed packet.

  • Publication number: 20110261750
Abstract: Disclosed is a radio terminal that sets a communication path that transits a radio base station and a communication path that transits a radio base station, through an access gateway that is positioned upon a backhaul network, the radio terminal including a transmitter which transmits an uplink packet over the communication path to the access gateway, and transmits a dummy packet over the communication path to the access gateway, and a determination unit, which employs the uplink packet to determine a first communication quality of the communication path and employs the dummy packet to determine a second communication quality of the communication path wherein, when the second communication quality is higher than the first communication quality, the transmitter stops the transmission of the uplink packet over the communication path and transmits the uplink packet over the communication path.

  • Patent number: 6491442
Abstract: In an optical fiber connector (1), an outer member (2) holds a portion of an optical fiber (4A) remote from its connecting end which is connectable to a connecting end of a counterpart optical fiber. An aligning member (3) is held by the outer member so as to be movable along the optical fiber. The aligning member carries out positioning of the connecting end of the optical fiber. The aligning member is urged by a spring (5) in a direction to project from the outer member. When connecting the optical fiber to the counterpart optical fiber, the aligning member is moved in a direction opposite to the foregoing direction against an urging force applied by the spring so that the connecting end of the optical fiber is projected from the aligning member.
