  • Patent number: 5688931
Abstract: A novel polysaccharide derivative, a drug carrier comprising a novel polysaccharide derivative, and a drug complex are disclosed. The polysaccharide derivative according to the present invention comprises a polysaccharide having a carboxyl group in which a peptide chain is introduced at a part or all of the carboxyl groups of the polysaccharide. The peptide chain comprises 1-8 amino acids which may be the same or different. A part or all of the amino groups in the peptide chain which are not involved in the linkages with the carboxyl groups of the polysaccharide or the carboxyl groups in the peptide chain may form an acid amide linkage or an ester linkage with a carboxyl group, an amino group or a hydroxyl group of a third compound such as drugs. The polysaccharide derivative has a property of accumulating in a high amount at a tumor, and thus can deliver efficiently a drug which has a side-effect or a limited sustainment of the drug efficacy to the tumor.

  • Patent number: 5509192
Abstract: The present connector press-fitting apparatus comprises a press-fitting head, a press-fitting block, a cylinder, a positional detector, a pin detector, and a controller. The press-fitting head comes into contact with the connector, and attaches to and detaches from this connector. The press-fitting block supports the press-fitting head elastically. The cylinder is capable of moving the press-fitting block freely in a vertical direction, lowers the press-fitting block, and press-fits pins of the connector into a printed board which is arranged at a press-fitting position. The positional detector detects the displacement of the press-fitting head. The pin detector detects at least one pin lead end part projecting below the printed board in accordance with the press-fitting operation of the connector by means of the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5452351
Abstract: A call origination is made through a common carrier of the minimum line cost among a plurality of common carriers on the basis of input dial data. When a particular common carrier number is detected in the input dial data, a call origination is made preferentially through the particular common carrier corresponding to the carrier number. Thus a reduction in the communication cost using an ordinary LCR function is further made. In addition, an access to a desired common carrier is made by a very simple calling operation similar to the ordinary call operation.

  • Patent number: 5432614
Abstract: An electronic filing apparatus has a scanner which successively scans documents, and a memory portion which temporarily stores image information supplied from the scanner, the memory portion having a storage capacity enough to hold the quantity of information from two documents. The apparatus also successively records information from the memory to a disk storage medium, to register a plurality of the documents. The apparatus has respective first and second control means for the scanner and recording portion, so that, as a previously scanned document is written onto the disk storage medium from the memory, a successive document is being scanned and entered into the memory. This arrangement provides fast and efficient storage of successively scanned documents from among a plurality of documents.

  • Patent number: 5149024
Abstract: A system for controlling the movement of carriages in a conveyor system is disclosed in which individually powered carriages are controlled so as to stop a carriage at a designated position on the conveyor rail. Electrical contact wires extend along the conveyor rail and are electrically connected to controller units on each of the carriages by electrical contacts sliding along the electrical contact wires. Certain ones of the electrical contact wires have electrical discontinuities which define boundaries of first and second zones. The electrical discontinuities form a normally open electrical circuit with the controller units of each of the carriages, thereby keeping such controller units in the inoperative or "off" position. In this position of the controller unit, the power unit of each of the individual carriages drives the carriage along the conveyor rail.
