  • Publication number: 20150001151
Abstract: In a water treatment system, fouling is made earlier detectable, considering additionally the effect of spacers arranged between its separating membrane layers. A water treatment system 1 includes a pre-treating unit for pre-treating a raw water; a desalting unit having a separating membrane unit for separating substance to be separated from the raw water pre-treated in the pre-treating unit, using a separating membrane; and a monitoring unit between the pre-treating unit and the desalting unit. The monitoring unit has a monitor device fitted to a bypass pipe and configured to have a closed vessel having at least one transparent or semitransparent surface, and an image-pickup device which makes the raw water flowing in this vessel visible through the transparent or semitransparent surface. In the vessel, separating membrane layers which the separating membrane unit has, and a fouling-generating member are arranged to be put onto each other.

  • Publication number: 20140116943
Abstract: A water purification system has a closed water channel to circulate circulating water not containing substances causing fouling at the downstream side separated from the water to be treated with a semipermeable membrane. By performing reverse osmosis membrane treatment on the circulating water of a low concentration of organic substances after reclaiming water from the water to be treated containing organic substances to the circulating water through a forward osmosis membrane in which fouling is hard to occur, the substances causing fouling can be prevented from contacting onto the reverse osmosis membrane and thus fouling can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 8522605
Abstract: The same phenomenon as the phenomenon that a component of feed water is adsorbed to the surface of the membrane is used to assess water quality. Specifically, a sensor whose surface has a thin layer made of the same material as the material of the surface of the membrane and which includes a measurement unit such as a quartz crystal sensor that measures an adsorption rate on the thin layer is used to assess an effect of the water quality of the feed water on the membrane on the basis of a change in the adsorption rate on the sensor surface.

  • Patent number: 8387788
Abstract: A cigarette package of the invention has a casing (10), which includes an open end (12) that is opened/closed with a tongue lid (16). The tongue lid (16) has a lid portion (18), a tongue portion (22), and a magnet (28) fixed onto the tongue portion (22). A sheet (34) capable of being attracted to the magnet (28) is fixed onto a front wall (10f) of the casing (10). When the tongue lid (16) is in the closed position, the magnet (28) and the sheet (34) keep the tongue portion (22) attracted to the front wall (10f) in cooperation with each other by using the attracting force of the magnet (28). At the time of closing the tongue lid (16), the tongue portion (22) hits the front wall (10f) and thus makes a clap sound.

  • Patent number: 7019455
Abstract: A cap surrounding projection is formed on an outer periphery of a light transmitting cap substrate simultaneously with the formation of pixel separation banks. A surrounding recess is formed at a position, opposed to the cap surrounding projection, on a substrate provided with emitter elements, the projection and the recess being joined through a sealant with an absorbent arranged therein. With such a construction, it becomes possible to efficiently take out light from an emitting layer and to highly accurately seal the substrate provided with the emitter elements and the light transmitting cap substrate, thus realizing an organic electro-luminescence device of high reliability.

  • Patent number: 5825591
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic disk unit of a high memory capacity wherein a magnetic head and a magnetic disk with a lubricant layer formed on the surface thereof are allowed to perform a relative motion in a mutually contacted state to write and read out information of a high recording density, and the invention is also concerned with the shape and material of the magnetic head suitable for a continual sliding motion of the head on the magnetic disk surface, as well as the lubricant layer formed on the disk surface. According to the present invention, the magnetic head, which has a slider surface of a predetermined curvature, is supported by an arm through a spring and is pushed onto the magnetic disk surface with the lubricant layer formed thereon, then with rotation of the magnetic disk, the lubricant layer liquefies and information is recorded or read out in a contacted state of the head and the disk.
