The shopping server generates electronic catalogs personalized for each user based on the retrieved information so as to show useful and helpful information to each user. The catalogs are categorized in accordance with the purposes. Some of the categories are fulfilled by the automatic entry in accordance with the item relations or the user's purchase through the online shopping service, while the others are fulfilled by the user's arbitrary designation. The shopping server presents the generated catalogs to the users via the internet, so that the categories are switchable and customizable by the user.

    Abstract: A server sends an input form for inputting a customer ID to a customer terminal having accessed the server, in response to accessing from the customer terminal. The server receives the customer ID sent from the customer terminal in association with the sent input form. Upon retrieval of customer information corresponding to a user in association with the received customer ID, the server sets one or more corresponding items of the retrieved customer information in a member form for inputting member information. The server sends the member form wherein the one or more information items are set to the customer terminal, and stores the member information sent from the customer terminal in a member-information database.
