    Abstract: A contact is provided for connection of a shielded wire. The contact is formed from a strip of metal bent generally in a U-shape, at least two pairs of elastic projections with a sharp piercing ends formed on the strip, and at least one end of the U-shaped portion forming a wire-retaining portion. The first pair of projections is biased outwardly and the second pair is biased inwardly.
