Abstract: A lid for a pressure-heat cooking vessel, which is adapted to close or open an opening of the vessel in which food to be cooked is contained, wherein a transparent glass block is mounted in an opening formed in a lid body and held by a retainer to hermetically close the opening. The glass block is projected outside of the lid body.

Abstract: Triiodoallyl- or iodopropargyl-substituted tetrazole compounds which are prepared by reacting substituted tetrazole compound with reactive derivatives of corresponding triiodoallyl alcohol or iodopropargyl alcohol or by iodinating propargyltetrazole compounds, as well as antibacterial and antifungal compositions for medicinal, agricultural and industrial fields which contain as active ingredient said tetrazole compounds.

Abstract: Triiodoallyl- or iodopropargyl-substituted heterocyclic aromatic compounds which can be prepared by reacting unsubstituted- or substituted nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds with corresponding iodine containing alcohol reactive derivatives in the presence of a base in an inert organic solvent. These new heterocyclic aromatic compounds have remarkable antibacterial and antifungal activities and are useful as antibacterial and antifungal agents in medicinal, agricultural and industrial fields.

Abstract: Antibiotic, designated as pyrrolomycin E is described, and which is obtained by cultivating an pyrrolomycin E - producing strain belonging to the genus Streptomyces, for example, Streptomyces sp. SF-2080 (FERM-P No. 5072, ATCC No. 31673), in a nutrient medium, and recovering pyrrolomycin E from the culture which contains also other antibiotic substances (pyrrolomycin A, B, C and D) together with the desired substance.

Abstract: A 7.alpha.-methoxycephalosporin derivative represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a heterocyclic ring or an --S-- heterocyclic ring; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a carboxy group or a --COOR.sub.5 group wherein R.sub.5 represents a lower alkyl group, a dialkylamino-lower alkyl group or a ##STR2## group wherein R.sub.6 represents a lower alkyl group, a lower acyl group or a lower alkoxycarbonyl group and Y represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a carbamoyl group or a lower acyl group; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a dialkylamino-lower alkyl group or a ##STR3## group wherein R.sub.6 and Y are defined as above; A and B, which may be the same or different, each represents a straight chain or branched chain alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and x represents 0 or 1; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a process for producing the same.

Abstract: A method of making a cooking utensil lid comprises the steps of forming the heated transparent glass plate to a lid body having an engaging rim portion provided around the outer circumference of a see-through portion of the lid body; and cooling the whole of the lid body to form a tempered glass. A cooking utensil lid made of tempered glass plate having a see-through portion and an engaging rim portion provided around the outer circumference of the see-through portion; and a reinforcing ring member fitted integral onto the engaging rim portion. The lower and outer part of the reinforcing ring member is provided with a recess for engaging with the opening rim of a cooking utensil. A water drop guiding member is downwardly projected from the inner side of the reinforcing ring member so as to have a space from the inner wall of the cooking utensil.
