  • Publication number: 20160329060
Abstract: A speech processing apparatus performs predetermined speech processing on speech data that is acquired and then transmitted to an external handheld terminal, using a speech processing section. The speech processing section can switch first speech processing used in phone calls and second speech processing used in other than phone calls as the predetermined speech processing.

  • Patent number: 9125023
Abstract: In a communication system for conducting wireless communication between communication units mounted in vehicles, workload information indicating a workload of a driver of each vehicle is generated. When a communication request for requesting communication is transmitted from the communication unit of a first vehicle, it is determined whether the workload of a driver of the first vehicle and the workload of a driver of a second vehicle are lower than a predetermined level. When the workload of the driver of the first vehicle and the workload of the driver of the second vehicle are determined lower than the predetermined level, an incoming call is notified to the driver of the second vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6664765
Abstract: A method of charging a battery from a power source is provided. The method includes providing a charge circuit in series with the battery and the power source. A charging current flowing to the battery and a voltage across the charge circuit are sensed. The power dissipated in the charge circuit is computed based on the charging current and the voltage across the charge circuit. During a first operating mode, the charging current is controlled so that the power dissipated in the charge circuit is about a predetermined maximum dissipation. During a second operating mode, the charging current is limited to a predetermined current level. During a third operating mode, the charging current is controlled so that the battery voltage is about a predetermined voltage level.

  • Patent number: 6393263
Abstract: A mobile communications terminal and system in which a time displayed by the terminal can be corrected based on a reference time, while an intentional offset time can be established at the terminal without modification of the reference time itself. When a reference time (Tst) is 12:00, a user may purposely make a setting of, for example, 12:05 as a present time (RTC) generated by a time-generating portion. Accordingly, when the reference time (Tst) reaches 13:00, the present time (RTC) generated by the time-generating portion should be 13:05 unless deviation has occurred. Consequently, when the present time (RTC) is, for example, 13:04, correction is necessary. However, correction of the reference time (Tst) 13:00 itself fails to take into consideration the intentional five-minute advance, and so the reference time (Tst) of 13:00 is corrected with an added differential (&Dgr;t) of five minutes to 13:05.

  • Patent number: 6198942
Abstract: In a system having a response hold function as a standard function such as CDMA system, a telephone apparatus transmits a response hold request to a control center when an End key is operated upon arrival of an incoming telephone call from another telephone apparatus. Receiving the response hold request, the control center notifies the other telephone apparatus originating the telephone call of a response hold state. In a system with no response hold function provided as a standard function such as TACS system, the telephone apparatus transmits a response hold request to the control center when the End key is operated upon arrival of an incoming telephone call from the other telephone apparatus. Receiving the response hold request, the control center establishes a telephone conversation state between the telephone apparatuses. Then, hold state sound is transmitted by the telephone apparatus to the other telephone apparatus.
