Patent number: 6619245Abstract: A failsafe control system for a valve electromagnetically driven for opening and closing an intake port or exhaust port of an internal combustion engine is provided. The valve is of the type which is held in a neural position, i.e., in a partly open position when an electromagnetic actuator is not energized. When the valve fails in opening, the supply current is increased than that at normal times to drive the valve to close, whereby to prevent misfire, backfire and a bad influence to intake conditions of other cylinders and thereby attain an elongated service life of engine parts. A failsafe control method is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2001Date of Patent: September 16, 2003Assignee: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Keisuke Fujiwara, Hatsuo Nagaishi

Patent number: 6463896Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a position of an electromagnetically operated engine valve for an internal combustion engine. During the engine stop, a controller determines whether a cranking operation failure causes the engine stop (a step S1) or an engine stall causes the engine stop (a step S2). In a case where an ignition switch is turned to ON with the engine stop or the ignition switch is turned to OFF with the engine stop due to the failure in the cranking operation, the engine valve (either an intake valve or exhaust valve) is held at a valve open position or a valve closure position for a predetermined period of time based on an engine coolant temperature or the number of times the cranking operations have failed after the engine stops (steps S3 through S8). Thus, it is not necessary to initialize the engine valve at a time of the engine restart during the engine stall or during an idle stop. The engine can quickly be restarted with a power consumption saved.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2001Date of Patent: October 15, 2002Assignee: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Keisuke Fujiwara, Hirofumi Yano

Patent number: 6208583Abstract: A synchronous semiconductor memory comprises a memory controller receiving a pre-CAS signal and a test-CAS signal for outputting the test-CAS signal as the CAS signal when a mode discrimination signal is active to indicate a test mode, and the pre-CAS signal as the CAS signal when the mode discrimination signal is inactive. A data amplifier controller receives the CAS signal and a clock signal and generates a data amplifier enable signal in time with the clock signal when the mode discrimination signal is inactive. This data amplifier control generates the data amplifier enable signal by delaying the CAS signal when the mode discrimination signal is inactive. In response to a column selection signal, data stored in the memory cell array is outputted to associated data amplifiers. When the associated data amplifiers are enabled by the data amplifier enable signal, the data outputted from the memory cell array is amplified and outputted by the associated data amplifiers.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Keisuke Fujiwara

Patent number: 5946253Abstract: In a semiconductor memory device in which cell arrays are connected to a shared bus line through sense amplifiers at the time of reading-out and writing operations, a sub-amplifier is provided between two bus lines, the sub-amplifier amplifying a potential difference of reading-out data fetched on the bus lines from the selected sense amplifier and a potential difference of writing data input to the bus lines from the outside. The sub-amplifier has an ability to amplify the potential differences of both of the reading-out data and writing data on the bus lines without separating the bus lines, whereby the amount of delay due to wiring can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1997Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Keisuke Fujiwara

Patent number: 5313342Abstract: An analog/digital compatible reproducing system is disclosed, particularly a stationary head system using a digital recorded magnetic tape having a plurality of n, digital data recorded tracks. An analog recorded magnetic tape has a first analog recorded track and a second analog recorded track between which a guardband of a certain width is provided. Signals are reproduced from the digital recorded magnetic tape by driving n reproducing magnetic head elements respectively corresponding to the n digital data recorded tracks. The analog recorded magnetic tape is reproduced by driving a plurality of m reproducing magnetic head elements of said n reproducing, magnetic head elements, corresponding to the first and second recorded tracks so that common outputs can be produced from the m reproducing magnetic head elements. There is also disclosed a tape cassette used in such system.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1992Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Yutaka Soda, Keisuke Fujiwara, Hiroaki Yada, Satoru Seko, Munekatsu Fukuyama, Tetsuo Sekiya

Patent number: 5260836Abstract: Apparatus is provided for reproducing either M channels of digital audio signals recorded in longitudinal tracks on a record medium or an analog audio signal recorded in one or two stereo tracks. M heads are used to reproduce the M channels of digital audio signals and N of those heads (N.ltoreq.M) are used to reproduce the analog audio signal. The reproduced digital or analog audio signals are multiplexed and digitized. When digital audio signals are reproduced, the digitized multiplexed signals are digitally processed and then converted to analog form. When analog audio signals are reproduced, the digitized multiplexed signals are summed such that signals reproduced by the N heads are combined to form a digital representation of the recorded analog audio signal. The summed signals then are converted to analog form to recover the original analog audio signal.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 1990Date of Patent: November 9, 1993Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Horoaki Yada, Yutaka Soda, Keisuke Fujiwara, Satoru Seko, Munekatsu Fukuyama, Tetsuo Sekiya
