  • Publication number: 20050236966
Abstract: A display device which includes, a display panel, a red emitting fluorescent film, a green emitting fluorescent film, and a blue emitting fluorescent film, each of the fluorescent films being formed on an inner surface of the display panel. The red emitting fluorescent film contains red fluorescent particles having an average particle diameter ranging from 6 to 12 ?m and covered with red pigment having an average particle diameter ranging from 1/100 to 1/10 of the average particle diameter of the red fluorescent particles, the red emitting fluorescent particles are formed of Y2O2S:Eu, a concentration of Eu in the red emitting fluorescent film is 60 ppm or less, and the x-value of luminescent chromaticity of the red emitting fluorescent film is not less than 0.620.

  • Publication number: 20050181234
Abstract: A dispersion liquid composition for a black matrix, which includes a solvent, and at least one of light absorption material having an average particle diameter ranging from 10 to 500 nm and selected from the group consisting of manganese oxide and a solid solution containing manganese oxide and ferric oxide. It is possible, with the employment of this dispersion liquid composition, to form a light absorption layer which is capable of reducing the diffuse reflection factor as well as the mirror reflectivity thereof, thereby making it possible to obtain a display screen improved in properties as a black matrix.

  • Patent number: 6630778
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube includes a transparent panel, a funnel joined airtightly to a circumference portion of a sidewall of the panel, a light absorption layer (black layer) and an optical filter layer both disposed on an interior surface of the transparent panel, and a phosphor layer formed thereon. A length from an edge of the panel joined to the funnel to a circumference edge of the light absorption layer formed on an interior surface of the sidewall of the panel is longer than or equal with that from the edge of the panel to a circumference edge of the optical filter layer formed similarly on an interior surface of the sidewall of the panel. The color cathode ray tube can be manufactured by making a length from an edge of the panel to a scraping edge of the light absorption layer in the trimming step of the light absorption layer longer than or equal with that from the edge of the panel to a scraping edge of the filter layer in the trimming step of the filter layer.

  • Publication number: 20020197640
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved method for assessing, monitoring and/or determining the phenotype of cells and tissues. One aspect of the present invention is a method of fabricating phenotype specific gene (PSGs) and house keeping gene (HKGs) targets onto a microarray. Another aspect of the present invention provides a composition containing PSGs and HKGs as targets for high throughput assays including microarray analyses. Another aspect of the present invention is accessing, monitoring and/or determining the phenotype of tissue engineered cells derived from stem cells including embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells, fetal stem cells and adult stem cells by hybridizing cDNA probes to either PSG or HKG targets. These methods employ at least 25 PSG targets and no greater than 5000 HKG targets.

  • Patent number: 6100632
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube is disclosed, that comprises an optical filter layer 2 formed on an inner surface of a glass panel 1, a thin film formed on a front surface of the optical filter layer 2 and composed of a metal oxide, and a fluorescent substance layer 4 formed on the thin film 3 corresponding to a pattern of the optical filter layer 2. The surface state of the thin film 3 is rougher than the surface state of the optical filter layer 2 and similar to the surface state of the fluorescent substance layer 4. Thus, the optical filter layer 2 sparsely contacts the fluorescent substance layer 4. Thus, the influence of the optical filter layer 2 to the fluorescent substance layer 4 can be reduced. Consequently, fluorescent substance particles of the fluorescent substance layer 4 can be suppressed from breaking, dropping, and so forth. Thus, an excellent fluorescent surface can be obtained at high throughput.
