  • Publication number: 20140364979
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a storage unit, an estimating unit, a judging unit, and a determining unit. The storage unit stores therein information of a walking state and a first location representing a location where the walking state occurs in an associated manner. The estimating unit estimates the walking state on the basis of measurement information measured in response to person's walking. When the walking state has been estimated, the judging unit judges whether or not the first location associated with the estimated walking state exists near a second location representing a location calculated by autonomous navigation based on the measurement information. When it has been judged that the first location exists near the second location, the determining unit determines the first location to be person's current location.

  • Publication number: 20140336944
Abstract: The present invention is concerning an information processing apparatus includes a record-information storage unit, a determining unit, a measuring unit, and an identifying unit. The record-information storage unit stores therein an already-identified person's motion together with time. The determining unit determines possible motions that a person can make from the already-identified person's motion. The measuring unit measures measurement information according to a person's motion. The identifying unit performs a pattern detecting process for detecting a pattern similar to the measurement information measured by the measuring unit in patterns corresponding to the possible motions determined by the determining unit out of predetermined patterns of measurement information for person's motions, and identifies a motion corresponding to the detected pattern as a motion that the person made.

  • Publication number: 20060149614
Abstract: A model format storing unit stores a model format representing a cyclic process of brand knowledge creation. Arrangement of dynamic evaluation parameters obtained by factor analysis of several indices for brand-creation process evaluation is set in the model format. A target brand parameter acquiring unit acquires dynamic evaluation parameters for a target brand. A model creating unit arranges the dynamic evaluation parameters for the target brand in accordance with the setting of the model format. In this way, a model of the target brand is created and outputted. The dynamic evaluation parameters are six parameters of contact, cognition, interaction, coherence, characterization, and alignment. With this model, circulation of brand knowledge creation is represented with appropriate parameters.

  • Patent number: 5015996
Abstract: A novel electro-mechanical switch device is disclosed which is suitable for use in a factory production line to detect and control the flow of workpieces or articles of manufacture along the line. The switch device includes a pair of switches (101, 102) operative in response to the workpieces passing thereby along the production line, a switch circuit (13) electrically connected to the switches (101, 102), and a moisture detector (15). The pair of switches are so designed that the operation of one switch is delayed with respect to the other. The switch circuit (13) functions in response to the operation of the switches and the moisture detector (15) to provide a warning signal when one of the switches fails to operate within a predetermined delay time with respect to the other switch, as well as when the moisture detector senses a presence of moisture.

  • Patent number: 4943715
Abstract: A limit switch having a fixed casing, an actuating part moveably support by the casing, and a pair of contact sets which are adapted to be activated by the movement of the actuating part, one for producing a normal switch output and the other for producing a stroke signal which serves as data for evaluating the appropriateness of the stroke of the actuating part. The other contact set may produce a signal when the actuating part has moved a certain distance more than the minimum stroke for activating the first contact set. Thus, the output from the second contact set ensures a certain stroke margin of the actuating part. Further, the second contact set may produce another stroke signal when the actuating part has been displaced close to the maximum permissible stroke of the actuating part so that an excessive stroke of the actuating part may be detected. The contact set may be purely mechanical or may also be a combination of a mechanical switch and a photoelectric switch.
