  • Publication number: 20240142676
Abstract: There is provided a compound represented by General Formula (I), a composition containing the compound represented by General Formula (I), a cured product, an optically anisotropic body, an optical element, and a light guide element. P1 and P2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, —CN, —NCS, or a polymerizable group. However, at least one of P1 or P2 represents a polymerizable group. Sp1 and Sp2 each independently represent a specific group. A1, A2, A3, and A4 each independently represent an aromatic hydrocarbon ring group or aromatic heterocyclic group which may have a specific substituent. Z1 and Z2 each independently represent a specific linking group or a single bond. B1 represents a group represented by a specific formula. n1 and n2 each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2.

  • Publication number: 20100178501
Abstract: An adhesive composition that is capable of achieving a superior combination of process characteristics such as adherend fill properties (embedability) and low-temperature lamination properties, and semiconductor device reliability such as reflow resistance, as well as a film-like adhesive, an adhesive sheet that exhibits excellent process characteristics including ready releasability from dicing sheets, and a semiconductor device that exhibits excellent productivity, superior adhesive strength when heated and superior moisture resistance, all of which use the adhesive composition. The adhesive composition comprises (A) a thermoplastic resin, (B) a bisallylnadimide represented by a general formula (I) shown below, and (C) a bifunctional or higher (meth)acrylate compound. (wherein, R1 represents a bivalent organic group containing an aromatic ring and/or a straight-chain, branched or cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon).

  • Patent number: 6844678
Abstract: A short arc discharge lamp in which the wear on the cathode tip area is suppressed, in which moreover in the arc discharge only little polarization occurs and flickering in the arc discharge occurs only rarely, and thus, a reduction of illuminance or flickering on the light irradiation surface of a device or the like in which the short arc discharge lamp has been installed is prevented. Furthermore, a short arc discharge lamp is devised in which the radiance is hardly impaired and stable light emission is enabled, even when it is operated over a long time. To obtain these advantages, a short arc discharge lamp which has an essentially spherical arc tube in which there are a cathode and an anode opposite one another, is provided with a cathode in which the cathode tip area has a crystal structure formed of several crystals which, as compared to the crystal size in the back end area of the cathode, are coarsened, and in which the emissive material contained in the cathode tip area is less than or equal to 0.

  • Patent number: 6683413
Abstract: The object of the invention is to improve the thermal radiation characteristic of the electrodes in a high pressure discharge lamp of the short arc type in which the input power has been increased in order to increase the amount of radiant light, and to reduce the electrode temperature with high efficiency. The object is achieved as claimed in the invention in a high pressure discharge lamp of the short arc type in the emission tube of which there is a pair of electrodes, in that at least part of the sides of the above described electrodes is provided with a groove area, that the depth D of this groove area is within 12% of the electrode diameter and that the relation D/P is between the depth D of the groove area and the pitch P between the grooves is greater than or equal to 2.
