  • Publication number: 20240092593
Abstract: A second right-side extension portion entirely overlaps with a first right-side extension portion in a stored state when viewed in a depth direction, and a second left-side extension portion entirely overlaps a first left-side extension portion in a stored state when viewed in the depth direction. Moreover, a right-side gear is provided so as to be located between a right-side first end portion and a right-side second end portion of the first right-side extension portion, and a left-side gear is provided so as to be located between a left-side first end portion and a left-side second end portion of the first left-side extension portion.

  • Patent number: 11863719
Abstract: A scanner includes a reading unit, a reversing unit, a discharge unit, a mounting portion, and a pressing portion. The discharge unit discharges a document that is reversed by the reversing unit. On the mounting portion, the document discharged by the discharge unit is mounted. The pressing portion presses the document toward the mounting portion. The pressing portion has a moving member that is provided and configured to move toward the mounting portion, and an elastic member that applies an elastic force to the moving member so that the moving member comes into contact with the document on the mounting portion.

  • Patent number: 11647136
Abstract: A medium-discharging device includes: a discharging section that discharges a medium; a stacker that is configured to stack the medium on a mounting surface and, in a closed state, has the mounting surface facing the housing section; and a first stopper and a second stopper that are configured to switch between a regulating state in which the stopper is in contact with a leading end of the medium and a stored state in which the stopper is stored in the stacker, in which the second stopper is provided at a position which is between the discharging section and the first stopper and at which the second stopper faces the recess when the stacker is in the closed state, and at least a portion of the second stopper enters the recess when the second stopper is in the stored state and when the stacker is in the closed state.

  • Publication number: 20220182506
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes: a document transport route along which a document inserted into the image reading apparatus from a front side is transported backward; a reader that reads an image of the document; an ejection guide that upwardly guides the document being fed after the document is ejected backward from the document transport route; and a transport-force-applying mechanism that applies a transport force to the document. The transport force applied by the transport-force-applying mechanism to a first side of the document is greater than the transport force applied by the transport-force-applying mechanism to a second side of the document, the first side being positioned on a first-directional side in a width direction intersecting a document transport direction, the second side being positioned a second-directional side that is opposite to the first-directional side. The ejection guide is positioned asymmetrically toward the first-directional side in the width direction.

  • Patent number: 11134162
Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a lower unit, and a discharge tray and an upper unit that pivot with respect to the lower unit. An axis center of the discharge tray and an axis center of the upper unit are common, the image reading apparatus includes a first damping portion that damps pivoting of the discharge tray in at least an opening direction, and a second damping portion that damps pivoting of the upper unit in at least a closing direction, and the upper unit is configured to engage with the first damping portion, and, when the upper unit is closed from a state in which at least the discharge tray and the upper unit are opened, in addition to a damping force of the second damping portion, a damping force of the first damping portion is applied to the upper unit.
