  • Publication number: 20090076724
Abstract: A vehicular navigation apparatus reads from an external memory a highland flag that is turned on when a vehicle travels at an altitude of 3,000 meters or higher, and prohibits an operation of a hard disk drive (HDD) if the highland flag is turned on. By prohibiting the hard disk drive operation, the hard disk drive is protected from breakage due to an access from the navigation apparatus in a travel of the vehicle through the highland.

  • Publication number: 20080004782
Abstract: A processing time necessary from start by end of processing of a first processing group and a second processing group is calculated. A time difference between a dead line previously set as a maximum tolerance value of the processing time necessary by completion of the processing of the first processing group, and the calculated processing time is calculated. An initial value of a processing time allowable value of the second processing group is calculated based on the time difference. The processing time allowable value is updated at the time of processing in the operating system. It is judged whether or not the second processing group can be executable based on the updated processing time allowable value.

  • Publication number: 20070297598
Abstract: It is determined whether a call-connection condition set to a call-connection device is a first call-connection state or a second call-connection state. When the determination result shows that the first call-connection state is set, a call is connected from an originating terminal to a destination terminal. When the determination result shows that the second call-connection state is set, the call is connected from the originating terminal to the destination terminal and conversation-termination processing is performed without waiting for a disconnection request transmitted from the originating terminal or the destination terminal.

  • Publication number: 20050186468
Abstract: An electrochemical device comprises a laminate including a first electrode layer, a separator layer, and a second electrode layer laminated in sequence; an electrolytic solution infiltrating the laminate; and a resin part covering an outer periphery of the laminate. The second electrode layer has an area smaller than the area of the separator layer and the area of the first electrode layer. The surface of the separator layer opposing the second electrode layer is provided with a noncontact part kept away from the second electrode layer. The noncontact part is formed like a ring along the outer periphery of the separator layer. The resin part further covers the noncontact part of the separator layer.

  • Publication number: 20050028159
Abstract: When an interrupt is generated during the operation of an idle task, after the value of a CPU register is stored in a current stack area, and then, the current stack area is switched to a stack area exclusively used for processing an interrupt. At this time, stacks have a structure in which the stack area is superposed on the stack area exclusively used for processing the interrupt. When the interrupt is generated during an idle process, the stack for processing the interrupt is used so as to overwrite the area in which the value of the CPU register is stored. Thus, an amount of use of RAM is reduced by commonly using a stack used in an interrupt process with a stack used in an idle process in a multitask system.

  • Patent number: 6660380
Abstract: The invention provides a zinc oxide particle having suppressed surface activity which gives safe and effective UV ray shielding ability (especially at longer wavelengths) to a variety of products such as resin molds, coating compositions or cosmetics, and a process for the production of the same. The zinc oxide particle of the invention has on the surface a cover layer formed of zinc silicate in an amount of 0.5-50% by weight in terms of zinc silicate (Zn2SiO4) relative to the zinc oxide. The zinc oxide particle which contains solid solution iron or cobalt therein as well as a cover layer formed of zinc silicate has effective UV ray shielding ability at much longer wavelengths while it is suppressed in the surface activity.
