    Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument and a hitting detection method are provided. The electronic percussion instrument includes: a head of which an upper surface is formed as a hitting surface; a body part, which is cylindrical and has an opening at an upper end side, the opening is covered by the head; and a plurality of head sensors provided on an inner peripheral side of the body part and detects a hitting on the hitting surface. The plurality of head sensors are in contact with a lower surface of the head in an area in which a distance from a center of the hitting surface is 50% or more and 75% or less of a radius of the hitting surface.
