  • Patent number: 6572715
Abstract: The present invention provides an aluminum alloy support body for a presensitized plate in which the uniformity of the grained surface due to electrochemical etching is further improved, and a method of producing the same. The aluminum alloy support body for the presensitized plate according to the present invention has a composition comprising 0.1 to 0.7% by weight of Fe; 0.01 to 0.2% by weight of Si; 0.005 to 1.0% by weight of one or more rare earth elements; and the balance of Al and unavoidable impurities. In the present invention, the aluminum alloy support body may further contain 0.005 to 0.1% by weight of Ni and 0.005 to 0.3% by weight of one or more rare earth elements. One or more elements of Ce, La and Nd can be selected as the rare earth elements.

  • Patent number: 6555247
Abstract: An aluminum alloy plate for a planographic printing plate capable of being provided with a satisfactory roughed surface by electrolytic etching. The aluminum alloy plate contains 0.1 to 0.6% of Fe, 0.01 to 0.2% of Si, 5 to 150 ppm of Cu, and balance of Al and unavoidable impurities and has a surface layer portion formed of a metastable phase dispersion layer in which metastable phase AlFe-based intermetallic compound particles are dispersed. The metastable intermetallic compound particles each act as a starting point for pits. The alloy plate is formed with a roughed surface which is reduced in unetching and uniformly formed with pits, by electrolytic etching.

  • Patent number: 6500558
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aluminum material to which a surface treatment is performed, and has as its objective the provision of a surface-treated aluminum material that has excellent adhesive properties with organic resin film. The present invention further aims to provide a method for producing the aforementioned. In the present invention's surface-treated aluminum material, a non-porous anodic oxide film is formed to the surface of the aluminum or aluminum alloy. This non-porous anodic oxide film has a thickness in the range of 5˜800 nm, a porosity of 20% or less, and contains in an amount of 50 ppm or more at least one of silicon, phosphorous, boron or carbon as a component. As a result of this structure, the adhesive properties between organic resin film and non-porous anodic oxide film can be increased.
