Publication number: 20230021836Abstract: An aircraft includes a fuselage, a wing connected to and extending outward from the fuselage, and an engine mounted to the wing. The engine includes turbomachine defining a centerline axis, a fan, and an exhaust section with an outlet nozzle. The turbomachine defines a centerline axis. The fan is connected to and is disposed upstream from the turbomachine. The fan is disposed to rotate about the centerline axis. During operation of the engine, an exhaust stream is expelled from the outlet nozzle of the exhaust section. The exhaust stream defines a mean direction of flow in the downstream direction from the exhaust section. The mean direction of flow defines a first angle with the centerline axis of the turbomachine that is greater than zero such that the centerline axis is oriented downwardly along the vertical direction relative to the mean direction of flow of the exhaust stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2021Publication date: January 26, 2023Inventors: David Baker Riddle, Keith Edward James Blodgett, Timothy Richard DePuy, William Joseph Bowden

Publication number: 20220197150Abstract: A super-resolution system for nano-patterning is disclosed, comprising an exposure head that enables a super-resolution patterning exposures. The super-resolution exposures are carried out using electromagnetic radiation and plasmonic structure, and in some embodiments, plasmonic structures having specially designed super-resolution apertures, of which the “bow-tie” and “C-aperture” are examples. These apertures create small but bright images in the near-field transmission pattern. A writing head comprising one or more of these apertures is held in close proximity to a medium for patterning. In some embodiments, a data processing system is provided to re-interpret the data to be patterned into a set of modulation signals used to drive the multiple individual channels and multiple exposures, and a detection means is provided to verify the data as written.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2022Publication date: June 23, 2022Inventors: Franklin Mark Schellenberg, Keith Edward Bennett

Publication number: 20220157320Abstract: Systems and methods are provided in which a speaker profile-data inquiry is transmitted to a mobile device associated with a first speaker. In response to the speaker-profile-data inquiry, speaker profile data associated with the first speaker is received. Audio data representing a voice input is received. The first speaker is identified as providing the voice input, the identification being based on a comparison of characteristics of the received audio data with the speaker profile data of a plurality of speakers for whom speaker profile data is stored.
