Publication number: 20230092057Abstract: Dynamic data tiling is provided. In various embodiments, a request is received for a tile of geographic data from a requestor. The request specifies a region relative to a projection. The region is looked up in a spatial index to determine one or more source tiles. The spatial index corresponds to the projection and the one or more source tiles intersecting the region. The one or more source tiles are requested from a proxy. The proxy is configured to maintain one or more persistent connections to one or more datastores and to retrieve the one or more source tiles via the one or more persistent connections. The one or more source tiles is received from the proxy. The requested tile of geographic data is constructed from the one or more source tiles. The requested tile of geographic data is provided to the requestor.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Inventors: Christopher Edward Holden, Keith Frederick Ma, Jacob Samuel McDonald

Publication number: 20220180526Abstract: Imagery-based boundary identification for agricultural fields is provided. In various embodiments, a time series of surface reflectance rasters for a geographic region is received. For each of the surface reflectance rasters, at least one index raster is determined, yielding at least one time series of index rasters. The at least one time series of index rasters is divided into a plurality of consecutive time windows. The at least one time series of index rasters is composited within each of the plurality of time windows, yielding a composite index raster for each of the at least one time series of index rasters in each of the plurality of time windows. The composite index rasters are segmented into a plurality of spatially compact regions of the geographic region. A plurality of polygons is generated from the plurality of spatially compact regions, each of the plurality of polygons corresponding to an agricultural field in the geographic region.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2022Publication date: June 9, 2022Inventors: Bobby Harold Braswell, Tina A. Publication number: 20090216468Abstract: A multimode network analyzer (VNA) and the method of using the same are disclosed. The VNA includes a signal input port that receives a test signal, an LO signal generator, a mixer, an IF filter and a processor. The LO signal generator generates a mixer LO signal from a mixer input test signal, the LO signal generator having first and second modes. The mixer LO signal is substantially a first periodic signal in the first mode and a second periodic signal having a plurality of harmonically related tones in the second mode. The mode that is currently operative is determined by a mixer control signal. The mixer is driven by the LO signal and has an output that is filtered by the IF filter to generate an IF signal. The processor analyzes the IF signal to determine a parameter characterizing the test signal and outputs that parameter.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2008Publication date: August 27, 2009Inventor: Keith Frederick Anderson

Patent number: 7252138Abstract: A method and apparatus for the repair of damaged tubes, such as heat exchanger tubes, comprising inserting a flow through plug into the damaged heat exchanger tube. The flow through plug is tapered and creates a press fit when inserted within the heat exchanger tube. The flow through plug has an aperture along its axis, thus allowing for flow lengthwise through the flow through plug.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2005Date of Patent: August 7, 2007Assignee: Rohm and Haas CompanyInventors: Larry Junior Burkhalter, Michael Stanley DeCourcy, Stephan Kenneth Weinberg, Keith Frederick Briegel

Patent number: 7128813Abstract: A process for the high yield production of high purity glacial methacrylic acid (“HPMAA”) with minimization of decomposition of hydroxy isobutyric acid (HIBA). The HPMAA is substantially pure, specifically 99% pure or greater with a water content of 0.05% or less. This improved process involves the steps of providing a crude MAA stream which was formed by hydrolyzing acetone cyanohydrin and, therefore, includes HIBA which is an intermediate product of the hydrolysis reaction, and purifying that crude methacrylic acid stream in a series of successive distillation steps.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2003Date of Patent: October 31, 2006Assignee: Rohm and Haas CompanyInventors: Keith Frederick Briegel, James Clarence Day, Michael Stanley DeCourcy, Donald Alan Ebert, Jamie Jerrick John Juliette

Patent number: 7099417Abstract: A filter that includes an analyzer, thresholding circuit, and synthesizer. The analyzer generates a low-frequency component signal and a high-frequency component signal from an input signal. The thresholding circuit generates a processed high-frequency signal from the high-frequency component signal, the processed high-frequency signal having an amplitude of zero in those regions in which the high-frequency component signal has an amplitude that is less than a threshold value. The synthesizer generates a filtered signal from input signals that include the low-frequency component signal and the processed high-frequency signal. The filtered signal is identical to the input signal if the threshold value is zero. The analyzer is preferably constructed from a plurality of finite impulse response filters that operate on a small fraction of the input signal at a time.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2001Date of Patent: August 29, 2006Assignee: Agilent Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Erwin Frederick Siegel, Keith Frederick Anderson

Patent number: 6861846Abstract: A distortion measurement method uses alternative measurements to determine the distortion of a DUT, depending on the ratio of the distortion at an output of the DUT to distortion of a source stimulating the DUT. The method includes calibrating the VNA at a distortion frequency, measuring a first gain of the DUT with the source and the receivers of the VNA set to the distortion frequency, and measuring a second gain of the DUT with the source of the VNA set to a fundamental frequency and the receivers of the VNA set to the distortion frequency. When the second gain is less than a predesignated threshold, a match-corrected source signal is acquired and used with the first gain and the second gain to determine the distortion of the DUT. When the second gain is not less than the predesignated threshold, a match-corrected DUT output signal is measured and used with the first gain and the second gain to determine the distortion of the DUT.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2002Date of Patent: March 1, 2005Assignee: Agilent Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Keith Frederick Anderson

Patent number: 6832576Abstract: The current invention reveals equipment and the method to utilize it to reduce or eliminate seal deposition in equipment that uses inflatable seals where a solution can come into contact with the seal and leave a deposit. Typical of this process is the coating chamber used to prepare honeycomb substrate for catalytic converters. For catalytic converter coating, the invention sprays the solvent of the coating solution, typically water, in a flat fan spray across the coating chamber in a high pressure pulse in such a manner as to produce a thin film of water on the seal surface, and reflect from the seal surface to clean multiple seals within the chamber. The film of water removes deposits, interferes with further nucleation, and the wet seal forms a tighter seal with less pressure. Water is pulsed with a metering pump through rigid or semi-rigid tubing to fixed spray nozzles when the substrate is removed from the coating chamber. The pulse takes less than 1 second.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2004Date of Patent: December 21, 2004Inventor: Keith Frederick Feather
