  • Publication number: 20050005100
Abstract: First data to be sent by a first party to a second party is encrypted using public data of a trusted party and an encryption key string formed using at least a hash value generated by hashing at least one condition that typically serves as an identifier of an intended recipient of the first data. The encrypted first data is provided to a data recipient who requests a decryption key from the trusted party. The trusted party is responsible for verifying that the recipient meets the specified conditions before providing the decryption key. A valid decryption key is only provided if the correct conditions have been supplied to the trusted party.

  • Publication number: 20050005136
Abstract: A security method and apparatus is provided in which a trusted authority is arranged to read in identity data from a memory device presented by an individual. This identity data comprises both biometric data of a specific individual and additional identity data concerning the same individual. The trusted authority uses the biometric data as a biometric reference for comparison with biometric characteristics of the individual presenting the memory card in order to determine whether the latter is the individual represented by the biometric data. The trusted authority uses the additional identity data or matching data, together with private data of the trusted authority, to generate a decryption key. This decryption key is apt to decrypt data encrypted using both an encryption key string comprising the additional identity data of the specific individual and public data of the trusted authority.

  • Patent number: 5752016
Abstract: A graphical method of interrogating a computer database is provided, the database having a number of records and a number of dimensions in which each record is represented, the dimensions including headings and the method comprising providing a blank elementary select table, adding user-determined row and column headings and executing a program which fills in the cells with data corresponding to the set intersections of the row and column headings.

  • Patent number: 4743028
Abstract: A training device for golfers includes a main body having a concave side which can be held against the inside of a golfer's power arm by an arm encircling strap. The main body includes two parts biased away from each other and a spring biased switch. When the golfer's power arm is pressed against the golfer's body, the two parts of the housing are compressed and the switch is actuated, so that an indicator such as a buzzer in an electrical circuit can be controlled. The device thus monitors movement of the golfer's power arm away from the body while swinging a golf club.
