  • Publication number: 20240427358
Abstract: A pressure regulating valve includes: a body, including: a process surface; at least one inlet orifice in the process surface; In outlet orifices disposed in the process surface separate from the at least one inlet orifice; a resilient shut-off seal positioned in the process surface, defining a closed perimeter surrounding the at least one inlet orifice and separating the at least one inlet orifice from the plurality of outlet orifices; an inlet port communicating with the at least one inlet orifice; and an outlet port communicating with the plurality of outlet orifices; a reference housing; and a diaphragm constrained between the body and the reference housing, and arranged such that, when a reference pressure is higher than a process pressure the diaphragm is engaged with the outlet orifices, and when the process pressure is higher than the reference pressure, the diaphragm is disengaged from at least one outlet orifice.

  • Publication number: 20240342403
Abstract: The Overdose Reviver Automatic Inhaler is a method to repeatedly administer Narcan solution automatically, intranasally. When heartbeat sensors relay life-threatening low heartbeat data to a microprocessor chip the programmed functions are activated. Automatically administering atomized, pressurized Narcan solution into nostrils of an unconscious, opioid overdosed person once every two to three minutes and alert for help. The Automatic Inhaler is battery powered, automated, and mechanical. It is worn strapped to a user's neck, a nasal airline with nasal prongs, is secured in place under a user's nose via head, and nasal airline elastic straps. An electromagnetic solenoid depresses an air release valve on a pressurized air canister containing enough Narcan solution and pressurized air for at least ten one second squirts. A precautionary preemptive action for someone who knowingly is using opioids, most likely home alone. It's a method to revive oneself in case a lethal dose is ingested.

  • Patent number: 9447890
Abstract: A sealing apparatus for a back pressure regulator includes: a body defining a process surface, and including: at least one process void communicating with the process surface; a recess disposed in the process surface; a floating support hub disposed in the recess, carrying an O-ring; a vent void communicating with the recess; an inlet port disposed in fluid communication with the at least one process void and adapted to be coupled in fluid communication with a fluid at a process pressure; and an outlet port disposed in fluid communication with the vent void; and a diaphragm having opposed reference and process sides, the diaphragm disposed against the body such that the process side is substantially coplanar with the process surface.
