    Abstract: Absorbent compounds for capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) having chemical structure represented by Formula I, and compositions thereof, are provided. Embodiments of the present disclosure also describe methods and systems for performing carbon capture using an absorbent compound represented by Formula I for selectively and reversibly capturing carbon dioxide in an absorber. The absorber can optionally be used in conjunction with a stripper to regenerate the absorbent for reuse in the absorber.
