Patent number: 10190776Abstract: A fuel injector system with a fuel feed arm extending inwardly from an outer casing of combustion equipment of a gas turbine engine to a flame tube of the equipment, which ends in an injection nozzle which penetrates a head of the tube to deliver fuel. The system has a swirler arranged coaxially with the nozzle at the head of the tube, including one or more circuits which produce flows of swirling air around the fuel. A seal ring seals the nozzle to the swirler, the nozzle being removably inserted into the ring. The ring has a flange portion, and the swirler has a pair of spaced retention grooves at a front face thereof. Opposite edges of the flange portion slidingly locate in the grooves so it sealingly engages to the front face. The swirler has a spring mechanism which retains the flange portion in the grooves.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2016Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: ROLLS-ROYCE plcInventors: Alan Geary, Keith Bell

Patent number: 9550315Abstract: A reservoir assembly (40) comprises a container (4), a support assembly (42) on which the container (4) is mounted and fixed and a rotary electric vibrator device (44) coupled to the support assembly (42). The container holds a shear thinning additive for a plastics material. The reservoir assembly is arranged so that on operation of the device (44), an appropriate frequency and amplitude of vibration is applied to the container (4) and, therefore, its contents. As a result, a liquid dispersion in the container is shear thinned and recovery of dispersion from the container is increased.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2010Date of Patent: January 24, 2017Assignee: COLORMATRIX HOLDINGS, INC.Inventors: Brian Jones, Keith Bell, Andrew Stuart Overend, Mark Frost

Patent number: 8864058Abstract: The method of producing a colored powder of a polymeric material includes the steps of selecting a feedstock of said polymeric material, pulverizing said polymeric material in a pulverizer to produce a powder, moving the powder directly from the pulverizer to a mixer; spraying a liquid formulation including a colorant into the powder within the mixer, and mixing the liquid formulation and powder.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2012Date of Patent: October 21, 2014Assignees: Reduction Engineering, Inc., ColorMatrix Group, Inc.Inventors: Robert Sly, Jim Mauri, Jeff Masar, Keith Bell

Patent number: 8437620Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products that filter available content, produce a set of clean, discrete clips, and mix the clips to produce a package of content that matches a user's substantive preferences and conforms to a length and format specified by the user. Clips that do not match the user's preferences may be eliminated from use, as may be clips that have been viewed by the user previously. Moreover, the user can react to the received clips and judge them as to desirability and relevance to his or her preferences. These reactions may then become part of a user's set of preferences for generation of subsequent mixes.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2010Date of Patent: May 7, 2013Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Tondra Schlieski, Keith Bell, Delia Grenville, Wayne W. Patent number: 6638553Abstract: The system and method for monolayer alignment snack chip transfer process a snack chip from a first to a second conveyor. By using a roll at the discharge of the toast oven conveyor that has a diameter that is substantially closer in size to the pickup roll of the second conveyor, mechanical devices for lifting the chips off of the toast oven conveyor can be avoided. Further, chip preforms' alignment in passing between the two conveyors is maintained.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2001Date of Patent: October 28, 2003Assignee: RECOT, Inc.Inventors: Brian Keith Bell, Steven Theodore Chandler, Eric P. Farabaugh, Joseph H. Gold, Terry Dale Klockenga, John Curtis McConn, Daniel Eugene Orr, Edward Leon Ouellette, Scott L. Robinson, Heinz Roel, Richard James Ruegg

Patent number: 6610344Abstract: The process for making a shaped snack chip uses various components to form a chip having depth such as a bowl-shaped tortilla chip. The chips are formed by sheeting into an initial flat shape. The chips are then passed along for shaping by a mold and plunger conveyor. Once plunged to the mold shape, the chips are reduced in moisture content by baking and frying. After frying, oil is evacuated from the chips whereafter salt and flavoring is applied, if desired, prior to being packaged.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2001Date of Patent: August 26, 2003Assignee: Recot, Inc.Inventors: Brian Keith Bell, Steven Theodore Chandler, Eric P. Patent number: 4297574Abstract: A method of uranium exploration employs the detection of radon gas decay products to provide an indication of uranium mineralization. A plurality of collectors of similar surface areas are exposed to soil at or from spaced locations on an exploration site for a time sufficient for the decay products to deposit on the collectors and then, within substantially similar periods following the termination of the exposure, alpha particles, beta particles or gamma rays emitted from the collectors are measured and the measurements are compared. The collectors may be exposed to the soil in air spaces in or on the ground or in containers holding soil samples and may be electrically charged.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1979Date of Patent: October 27, 1981Inventors: Jeffrey W.
