  • Patent number: 10669790
Abstract: A device includes a base configured to be coupled to a storage segment of a pipe support assembly. The device also includes an arm configured to be coupled to the base. The arm is configured to provide lateral support to a pipe when the pipe is disposed in a storage area adjacent to a first portion of the storage segment. The arm is also configured to move in a horizontal direction from a first location in which an end of the arm is disposed at a first horizontal distance from the storage segment to a second location in which the end of the arm is disposed at second horizontal distance from the storage segment when a force greater than or equal to a predetermined level is applied to the arm.

  • Publication number: 20040117262
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for conducting a monetary transaction among a Point-Of-Purchase (“POP”) device (102), a mobile device (104) and a certifying authority (108). The POP device (102) may provide goods and/or services. A short-range wireless link (110) is established between the POP device (102) and the mobile device (104), and a long-range wireless link (112) is established between the mobile device and the certifying authority (108). The POP device (102) provides its identity and prices for its goods/services to the mobile device (104). After a particular good/service is selected, the mobile device (104) provides its identity and certain information, namely the POP device's identity and the price for the selected good/service, to the certifying authority (108). The POP device (102) then receives the certain information back from the certifying authority (108) via the mobile device (104) as well as an associated digital signature generated by the certifying authority.

  • Patent number: 6091714
Abstract: A distributed digital switching system is provided that includes a plurality of service controllers (20) which are interconnected to each other through a network (10). A network arbitrator is provided that controls the flow of traffic on the network (10). Each of the service controllers (20) is operable to provide a switching configuration between inbound data to the service controller (20) and network terminations associated with each of the service controllers (20). A processor (150) on each of the service controllers (20) controls the operations thereof with the voice information stored in a memory (208) which can be configured with a circuit (204). Each of the service controllers (20) has associated therewith a conference circuit for defining and creating a conference that can access all inbound data and provide interconnections therebetween and output this on a single outbound conference channel. There can be multiple conferences created at each service controller (20).
