Abstract: Devices for delivering an aerosolized drug formulation and methods for using such devices are herein provided. Specifically, the invention relates to a drug delivery device that contains a drug formulation and an actuator for aerosolizing the formulation in preparation for drug delivery. The drug delivery devices of the invention are configured for delivering a single dose of an active agent (e.g., a pharmaceutical compound) or a mixture of multiple active agents and may further be configured so as to be hand-held, self-contained, portable and disposable. Methods of treatment and drugs that are suitable for use in the subject devices are also disclosed.
