  • Patent number: 11568869
Abstract: Implementations include identifying, from a database of entries reflecting past automated assistant commands submitted within a threshold amount of time relative to a current time, particular entries that each reflect corresponding features of a corresponding user submission of a particular command. Further, those implementations include determining that the particular command is a golden command, for a particular automated assistant function, responsive to determining that: at least a threshold percentage of the user submissions of the particular command triggered the particular automated assistant function, and a quantity of the user submission of the particular command satisfies a threshold quantity.

  • Patent number: 9486683
Abstract: Device and methods for teaching batting skill are disclosed having front and rear foot pads and at least one release point. A stride pad may be included and aligned with the rear pad and a pitching location/source. The front rear pad provides for adjustment out of linear alignment with the rear pad and the stride pad to accommodate open and closed stances. The device admits to multiple position settings and variable stances, and the related methods will help teach baseball and softball players to adopt and use a correct and confident stance, stride and swing.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8441904
Abstract: There is disclosed a method and apparatus for measuring a signal using a measurement system. The signal has a frequency component that is to be detected by the measurement. The frequency component has a varying phase. The signal has at least one interruption thereto. The method includes: processing the signal with the measurement system to detect the frequency component in the signal and stalling the measurement system before the start of the interruption. The stall period is calculated such that the processing of the signal is resumed: i) after the end of the interruption, and ii) where there is substantially no discontinuity between the phase of the frequency component in the signal at the end of the stall and in the phase of the frequency component in the signal at the beginning of the stall.

  • Publication number: 20070008643
Abstract: A method of generating a clock signal from a moving medium includes detecting movement of at least one mark that moves synchronously with the medium. A generally sinusoidal output signal corresponding to movement of the mark is produced. The generally sinusoidal output signal is interpolated to provide a clock signal having a higher frequency than said generally sinusoidal output signal. The interpolation dynamically adjusts the phase of the interpolated output clock signal to correct for errors in the phase of said output signal. In one embodiment, servo tracks are written to a magnetic disk using a servo pattern signal, the phase of the servo pattern signal being adjusted relative to a clock signal. In another aspect, timing errors in a servo track writer are characterised.

  • Patent number: 6065788
Abstract: A hand gripping apparatus useful for securely holding and moving objects that are difficult or unhandy to grasp, hold and move by hand. The apparatus has two hinged or pivotally moveable jaws with handles which when squeezed together by hand securely grasp a belt between the jaws. One end of the belt is connected to the apparatus, the other end is wrapped around the object and extending the belt through the jaws where it is held when the handles are pressed together.
