  • Patent number: 11587657
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for parsing a message received from a requesting computer to identify an indication of a transaction, an entity identifier, and an identifier of a first evaluation system. The entity identifier is evaluated based on historical data and/or eligibility data to determine an alternative evaluation procedure. The alternative evaluation procedure is preformed to obtain response information regarding the transaction, that may differ from response information otherwise obtained via the first evaluation system. A response to the message is constructed that includes the response information and is transmitted to the requesting computer.

  • Patent number: 7299240
Abstract: Traditionally, it has been difficult to share data among diverse computer applications and platforms because of underlying differences in data formats. Although the meaning or purpose of the data may be similar or identical (for example, two appointments entered using separate computer applications), the differences in data formats required by the various computer applications and platforms renders such sharing difficult. A method is disclosed for the translation of dissimilarly-formatted data between disparate computer applications and platforms.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 2004
Date of Patent: November 20, 2007
    Assignee: Intellisync Corporation

Although the meaning or purpose of the data may be similar or identical (for example, two appointments entered using separate computer applications), the differences in data formats required by the various computer applications and platforms renders such sharing difficult. A method is disclosed for the translation of dissimilarly-formatted data between disparate computer applications and platforms. The method also provides for the dynamic reconciliation of conflicts in the data (for example, two appointments scheduled at the same time) based on both the content of the data and on specific preferences indicated by the user of the translation facility.
    Type: Grant
