  • Publication number: 20100218096
Abstract: Apparatus and method to disambiguate an ambiguous keypress sequence representing a character string made up of concatenated fragments of words entered by a user on a reduced keyboard, in which each fragment is made up of at least the first character of a word of text associated with an audio/visual program selected by the user for being played, and in which the fragments are combined in the character string without delimiters between them.

  • Publication number: 20100131318
Abstract: A method of monitoring the production history of consumable animal primal cuts. Data collected from animal breeders and animal feeders is provided to a centralized data management system. An independent auditor also collects data on the operations of animal feeders. The data is analyzed to identify trends or relationships between aspects of the production lifecycle. Quality data on the quality of the primal cuts is also provided to the data management system. Feedback on procedures to be adjusted to improve primal cut quality can be provided to feeders.

  • Patent number: 7483540
Abstract: An automated process for equalizing an audio system and an apparatus for implementing the process. An audio system includes a microphone unit, for receiving the sound waves radiated from a plurality of speakers, acoustic measuring circuitry, for providing frequency response measurement signals; a memory, for storing characteristic data signals representative of the loudspeaker units and further for storing the frequency response measurement signals; and equalization calculation circuitry, for providing an equalization pattern signal responsive to the frequency response measurement signals and responsive to the characteristic data signals representative of the plurality of loudspeaker units.

  • Publication number: 20030236582
Abstract: In some specific implementations, tracks of music make up a body of tracks available for playing. Metadata about the track may indicate relationships among the tracks, for example that they are jazz. Information about explicit and implicit reactions of a user to the playing of one or more of the tracks is stored. All of the available tracks are scored either directly as a result of the user reaction information or based on the relationships of the tracks to one another. The scoring is updated every time a user provides explicit or implicit reaction to a played track. Tracks are selected automatically for play based on the ratings or scores at the time of the selection and on a probabilistic technique that assures that every track has some possibility of being played at any time.
