  • Publication number: 20100043167
Abstract: A plural nozzle cleaning implement. The nozzles are oriented inwardly, to provide a converging spray pattern. The converging spray pattern provides more coverage of the target surface, which increases residence time of fluid sprayed onto debris.

  • Patent number: 7630972
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for searching data and grouping search results into clusters that are ordered according to search relevance. Each cluster includes one or more data type, such as images, web pages, local information, news, advertisements, and the like. In one embodiment, a search term is evaluated for related concepts indicating categories of data sources to search. Data sources may also be identified by context information such as a location of a client device, a currently running application, and the like. Search results in each cluster are ordered by relevance and each cluster is given a score based on an aggregate of the relevance within the cluster. Each cluster score may be modified based on one or more corresponding concepts and/or context information. The clusters are ordered based on the modified scores. Content, including advertisements, may also be added to the ordered list to appear as another cluster.

  • Publication number: 20090290732
Abstract: An acoustic device and method of making said acoustic device. The acoustic device comprises a diaphragm having resonant bending wave modes in the operating frequency range, and a plurality of electromechanical transducers coupled to the diaphragm. The positioning and mechanical impedance of the transducers are such that at least a selected number of the resonant bending wave modes are balanced so that the net transverse modal velocity over the area of the diaphragm tends to zero with the balancing of the resonant bending wave modes being achieved substantially by the positioning and mechanical impedance of the transducers. The parameters of the diaphragm may be such that there are a plurality of nodal grouped locations at or around which the nodal lines of a selected number of resonant modes are clustered. Each transducer may be mounted at one of the plurality of nodal grouped locations.

  • Patent number: 7610956
Abstract: A wellhead assembly to seal and suspend an in-casing hydraulic drive unit for a downhole pump, including pressure-containing wellhead body members with a vertical bore and a production bore at its uppermost portion. A hydraulic pump hanger is retained and sealed in the vertical bore. The hydraulic pump hanger suspends and seals the hydraulic cylinder, includes a bore extending vertically therethrough, forms at least one hydraulic line to communicate with hydraulic fluid supply lines, forms a hydraulic inlet port to each hydraulic line, and provides a check valve sealed in each hydraulic inlet port. The wellhead body member(s) includes a stem port aligned with each hydraulic inlet port, with a valve actuating stem sealed in each stem port to actuate each check valve between a normally closed and open position. The wellhead body member(s) also includes hydraulic injection port(s) formed to supply hydraulic fluid to each hydraulic inlet port.

  • Publication number: 20090240564
Abstract: Information regarding a mobile user's context including but not limited to current mobile activity, social relations and associations history, and past mobile, search and browsing history is identified and converted to metadata. Metadata is also applied to content sources delivering content to a search engine or personalized content engine. The metadata is used in part to determine the relative display of content objects delivered to the mobile user as search results or a personalized aggregated information resource, e.g., home page. The user may select information, from one or more entities or search results or as presented to the user in other contexts, to be automatically delivered to the user's home page as a content feed including multiple content objects or content feeds associated with an entity. Information regarding mobile user activity is compiled and used to permit publishers and advertisers to identify target candidates to receive advertisements or marketing materials.

  • Patent number: 7572735
Abstract: Yield loss in semiconductor processing is mitigated by forming a resist over an active side of a semiconductor workpiece or wafer, as well as around the edge of the wafer. The resist mitigates the creation of contaminants, such as nitride flakes, for example, that can develop when an oxide, nitride, oxide (ONO) layer is removed from the back or in-active side of the wafer. In the absence of the resist, such flakes may migrate to the front or active side of the wafer and cause defects to form therein, which can result in yield loss.

  • Publication number: 20090177745
Abstract: The disclosure describes systems and methods delivering communications associated with delivery conditions in which the occurrence of the delivery condition is determined by monitoring information received from a plurality of sources via multiple communication channels. The message delivery systems allow messages to be delivered to any “Who, What, When, Where” from any “Who, What, When, Where” upon the detection of an occurrence of one or more “Who, What, When, Where” delivery conditions. A message (which may be any data object including text-based messages, audio-based message such as voicemail or other audio such as music or video-based prerecorded messages) is delivered in accordance with delivery conditions based on any available data, including topical, spatial, temporal, and/or social data.

  • Patent number: 7509291
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention would provide methods and systems for generating and printing an identifier on a sheet of label stock that comprises a plurality of same-sized labels. In the exemplary embodiment, the identifier would comprise an identification of a media type of the sheet of label stock, and would further comprise an identification of an orientation for printing value-bearing item indicia, such as postage indicia, with respect to each label on the sheet of label stock. The orientation for printing value-bearing item indicia, such as postage indicia, would correspond to an orientation selection by a user that ordered the labels (sometimes referred to herein as the “ordering user”).

  • Publication number: 20090012841
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus are directed to communicating data over a network. Event attributes comprising at least two of a temporal, spatial, social, or topical information are received. An event structure comprising fields associated with a different one of a temporal, spatial, social, or topical dimension based on the received event attributes is generated. An advertising attributes about an advertisement is received. The advertising attributes may comprise at least two of another temporal, spatial, social, or topical information. If the event structure matches the advertising attributes, the advertisement may be provided co-located with the event structure. The advertisement may be configured to provide a value exchange if the advertisement is activated.

  • Publication number: 20080281184
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods for calibrating functional magnetic resonance imaging of living tissue. For example, a calibration method includes providing a contrast signal simulation device configured for generating one or more pre-determined contrast simulation signals selected from a group consisting of BOLD and BOSS contrast simulation signals that simulate at least one contrast signal generated by living tissue of a subject and positioning the contrast signal simulation device adjacent to the subject. The method includes using an imaging instrument to take first and second data sets from the subject's tissue while the contrast signal simulation device is disposed adjacent to the subject and while generating and not generating the one or more pre-determined contrast simulation signals, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20080168033
Abstract: A system and method are directed towards refining mobile device search results using location modifiers. Information about a mobile device user may be collected, including a current location, a default location, information from address books, or other social networking information. The user may input a search query that is parsed into a primary search term and possibly a location modifier. The location modifier may modify the search for the primary search term by refining a physical location over which the search is performed. Location modifiers may include user-specific location modifiers that may employ social networking information to refine the search query, or a location sub-string modifier that refines the search query by employing a hierarchy of location data and/or social networking information. In one embodiment, where no location modifier is included within the search query, a current, or default, location of the mobile device may be employed.
