Abstract: An expanding gate valve and method is provided for bidirectional sealing capability against pressure, whether the direction of pressure is upstream or downstream. The bidirectional annular seat seals against the gate assembly against pressure from the normal wellhead direction, typically upstream. For sealing against pressure in the opposite direction, the seat is formed with an annular recess extending radially outwardly from the central bore of the annular seat so that a flex portion of the seat formed between the recess and the front sealing face of the annular seat at the central bore flexes toward the gate assembly against this pressure. The front face of the bidirectional seat forms a raised annular sealing portion on the flex portion of the seat adjacent the central bore to provide sealing contact with the gate assembly in the expanded condition when the flex portion flexes toward the gate assembly.

The method further includes deriving data relevant to an external application from at least a first portion of the obtained data. The method further includes formatting the derived data and at least a second portion of the obtained data, relevant to the external application, to be compatible with the external application. The method further includes sending the formatted data to the external application or a user of the external application. The method further includes receiving results of processing the formatted data by the external application or the user of the external application. The method further includes storing the results in the EDM database.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for generating a de-duplicated and subcategory summary search results in response to a search query. A set of original search results and a set of categorical search results may be obtained in response to a search query. The original search results may be relevant to the search query while the categorical search results may be relevant to the search query and a category. The items in the categorical search results may be associated with various subcategories. The duplicate items in the categorical search results and at least a portion of the original search results may be removed from the categorical search results. The repeated instances of each of the subcategories may be removed from the categorical search results.

Abstract: A laser light source transmits laser light to a tip of an interventional instrument such as a needle via an optical fiber. The laser light is absorbed at the distal tip of the instrument and generates a photoacoustic signal. The laser light source is configured to receive a trigger signal from an ultrasound machine when a laser pulse is to be produced. The light source signals the ultrasound machine when an optical connector is connected to the laser light source to automatically begin a needle tip (NTV) visualization mode. If the optical connector is removed from the laser light source, the laser light source stops producing laser light pulses.

Abstract: A ball injector for connecting below the frac head of a frac tree to accommodate and sequentially drop a ball into the axial passageway of the frac tree. The ball injector has an axial passage of an injector housing aligned with the axial passageway of the frac tree. A ball cartridge assembly stores one or more balls and sequentially delivers one ball to a port in the ball cartridge assembly. A ball launch side arm extends from the injector housing and forms a ball launch passageway communicating between the ball cartridge port and the axial passage. A first valve member in the ball launch passageway is opened to pass the ball into the axial passage, and is closed to isolate the ball cartridge assembly from a pressure in the axial passage. A second valve member between the first valve member and the ball cartridge assembly may be included to form a pressure isolation chamber between the valve members. Abstract: A Resource Description Framework engine is disclosed for performing transactional RDF-based operations against a distributed database. The RDFE manages a local memory cache that stores active portions of the database, and can synchronize those active portions using a transactionally-coherent distributed cache across all database nodes. During RDF reads, the RDFE can identify a triple-store table affected by a given RDF transaction, and can traverse the index objects for that table to locate triple values that satisfy a given RDF query, without intervening SQL operations. The RDFE can also perform SQL transactions or low-level write operations to update triples in triple-store tables. Thus the RDFE can update corresponding index objects contemporaneous with the insertion of RDF triples, with those updates replicated to all database nodes.
