Abstract: Offloading cargo from a cargo vessel and delivering the cargo to a cargo recipient, or loading cargo onto the cargo vessel from a cargo supplier, may be performed using a cargo vessel which is spread moored at sea to a plurality of mooring points for mooring the cargo vessel in a desired orientation. Alternatively, the cargo vessel may be rotatably moored. Tubing may be provided and configured to be connected to the vessel for fluid communication between the vessel and the cargo recipient or the cargo supplier, and may comprise a first portion configured to be connected to the cargo vessel and a second portion configured to be connected to the cargo recipient or the cargo supplier. A semi-submersible unit may be operable to travel across the sea and carry part of the tubing from a stand-by location to a position adjacent to the cargo vessel, so as to allow an end of the first portion of the tubing to be connected the cargo vessel for offloading or loading the cargo.

Abstract: Embodiments leverage capabilities of an in-memory database to manage measurement and modeling of Operational Leading Indicators (OLIs). An OLI template may comprise four model components: ratio calculation; factor calculation; predictive modeling; and cost estimation. Each model component is motivated and explained in terms of information sources, and analytical or statistical modelling tasks used in its definition. Embodiments combine analytical and statistical modelling utilizing in-memory computing, to process large amounts of unmodified source data, calculate cost measures rapidly without preaggregation, and/or run linear regression models on the same data set and in the same memory space without a need for separate hardware. An engine in communication with the in-memory database that comprises a large volume of available data, is configured to receive values for OLI factors as inputs.

Abstract: A mooring apparatus that includes an actuator connected to a mooring hook and the mooring base. The actuator provides translational movement of the mooring hook towards the mooring base. The mooring apparatus also includes a vessel motion detection system and a mooring apparatus control system. The mooring apparatus may include a mooring line tension gauge. The vessel motion detection system provides an input indicative of vessel motion to the mooring apparatus control system. The mooring apparatus control system then provides an output signal to the appropriate mooring system(s) which results in adjustment of the mooring line tension in the appropriate mooring system(s). Methods for use thereof are also disclosed.

Abstract: There is disclosed an expandable multiline dialing controller which is connected to a computer hosting a database of telephone contact records. The controller is rendered expandable by a capacity expansion interface which allows the connection of second or subsequent dialing controllers in a chain, all of the dialing controllers in the chain sharing the connection to the single computer in telephone contact database. Available operators and available outside lines could be shared between the dialing controllers in the chain. A multiline dialing control system comprising a plurality of such dialing controllers is also disclosed. Also disclosed is the method of conducting a telephone contact campaign in such an expandable hardware environment.

Abstract: There is disclosed a modular dialing controller with an interchangeable subscriber service module which allows for the rapid conversion of the apparatus for use on different types of telco systems or in environments with varying incoming line configurations. Interoperability of the device in multiple environments is increased, which will increase the commercial utility of such devices. Also disclosed is a method of conversion of a modular dialing controller with different subscriber services by exchanging a subscriber service module. The subscriber service module itself is also shown.
