  • Publication number: 20230392976
Abstract: A fluid container measurement system is configured to suspend a load measurement assembly a distance above a support surface. The load measurement assembly houses a load cell and a measurement control circuit. The measurement control circuit is coupled to the load cell and configured to receive electrical signals indicative of a force imposed on the load cell. Electrical signals generated by the load cell indicative of the force exerted on the load cell can be used to measure the fluid container attached to the load cell linkage member. Methods of measuring a fluid container include attaching a fluid container to a fluid container attachment region and displaying the load measurement on a display adjustably attached to an upper surface of the housing of the load measurement assembly.

  • Patent number: 7775458
Abstract: The invention relates to an automated sprayer for spraying the walls of a bath and shower enclosure with a cleanser. The sprayer has a housing that can be mounted inside the shower enclosure and that defines a tray in which an inverted bottle of cleanser is stored. The bottom of the tray has a tube extending downwardly along a longitudinal axis through which the cleanser can pass. A motorized head disposed beneath the tube can be rotated about the axis for metering cleanser from the bottle and spraying cleanser outward. The sprayer includes timer circuitry that delays commencement of a spray for a set time and automatically stops spraying after a predetermined period. The sprayer also includes a system for signaling the beginning of a spray cycle including audio and visual alarms. The invention focuses on methods of using such equipment, as well as a container for supplying such equipment.

  • Publication number: 20080082057
Abstract: An apparatus for testing meibomian glands in the eyelids of humans for meibomian gland disease is provided. The apparatus comprises a handle, and a probe tip mounted for movement relative to said handle such that when the probe tip is placed against the eyelid and compressive force is applied, movement of the handle a preselected distance replicates the force required for natural expression of secretion from the meibomian gland. Movement of the handle relative to the probe tip the preselected distance exerts a force of between about 5 grams per 30 mm2 and 40 grams per 30 mm2 and preferably a force of approximately 15 grams per 30 mm2. An indicator means selected from the group consisting of auditory, visual and tactile signals is provided and when activated alerts the clinician that the required force has been reached. According to the method of the present invention a probe tip is located in contacting relation with the eyelid, the probe tip being connected to a handle.

  • Patent number: 6742951
Abstract: A cleaning implement provides a spray head for a cleanser spray bottle. It also mounts on its forehead a removable cleaning pad. The spray head threads onto a conventional spray bottle. The cleaning pad is mounted immediately above the spray outlet. It has a slot to engage the spray head. There can be a living hinge to allow the pad to flex, and the forehead can be rounded to permit the pad to rotate on the spray head without being removed to change orientations. A single hand can be used to spray and rub a hard surface, without the need for a spray bottle to be put down while wiping the surface.
