  • Patent number: 10104049
Abstract: A distributed event system includes a plurality of publishers, a communication infrastructure, and a key manager that manages access to publishing of events by one or more applications. An event is published, by a publisher, when the publisher determines an occurrence of an event and, in response, obtains a key from the key manager. The publisher then encrypts the event with the key to produce an encrypted event and transmits the encrypted event for consumption by a subscriber to the event.

  • Publication number: 20150369697
Abstract: A method for predicting the residual life of a bearing comprising the step of: measuring frequency of occurrence of events that result of high frequency stress waves emitted by rolling contact of the bearing, recording measurement data as recorded data, and predicting the residual life of the bearing using the recorded data and a mathematical residual life prediction model, whereby accumulated fatigue damage is determined from the measurements of the frequency of occurrence of events that result in high frequency stress waves being emitted by rolling contact of the bearing.

Abstract: An arrangement and a method of measuring a mechanical bearing oscillation within a bearing. The arrangement comprises: (1) a shaft adapted for rotating, coupled to an inner ring of the bearing, and supported by the bearing, wherein the bearing oscillation excites a shaft oscillation of the shaft; (2) a bolt having an outer threading portion screwed into the shaft in order to achieve a mechanical coupling for transferring the shaft oscillation to excite a bolt oscillation of the bolt; and (3) a sensor mechanically coupled to the bolt for registering the bolt oscillation, the bolt oscillation being indicative of the bearing oscillation.

  • Publication number: 20150177099
Abstract: A method for predicting the residual life of a rolling-element bearing comprising the step of: measuring the magnitude and/or the frequency of occurrence of high frequency stress wave events emitted by rolling contact of the rolling-element bearing, recording the measurement data as recorded data, and predicting the residual life of the rolling-element bearing using the recorded data and an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) rolling-element bearing life model. The accumulated fatigue damage is determined from the measurements of the magnitude and/or the number of high frequency stress wave events emitted by rolling contact of the bearing rather than using the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) rolling-element bearing life model's values for the accumulated fatigue damage.

  • Publication number: 20150168256
Abstract: An electrical solution that avoids power-up problems due to excessive power consumption during start-up of for example microcontroller based electronics. According to the invention the power consuming electronics is disconnected from a power supply until all power storage elements of the power supply are charged up to a first predetermined level. The power consuming electronics will also be disconnected when the available energy falls under a second predetermined value. This behaviour is useful when all energy is harvested from a weak energy source and the attached power consuming electronics does not work continuously.
